It was mostly average. No decent beer waitress was ok. They certainly have good smelling burgers during art festival but they were not selling.

Ordered baked clams as an appetizer....served like steamed clams with tomato sauce on top! Then ordered lamb Osso Bucco on a mushroom Risotto! (Sp) for those that know Italian cuisine it should be a nice center cut shank with a BIG braised center cut shank with marrow! Served on creamy Arribotta Italian rice! Mine was a dry roasted end boney lamb shank almost burnt served on a sticky pile of rice with very few mushrooms! I know of better places!!

We stopped with a group of four ladies. I had the tortellini paglia fino and it might be the best pasta dish I have ever had. It was so good. I also upgraded the salad to the chopped salad which was a great decision. So good! Others had the lasagna, penne with bolognese, veggies and baked mozzarella, and risotto with sun dried tomatoes. Everyone loved their meals. Each one of us had enough leftovers for at least two more meals. You won't leave hungry. Then the dessert! We all had it to go because we were stuffed. The carrot cake is enough for four people and delicious (I have had it before)! The pumpkin cheesecake was like a quarter of a cheesecake and yummy according to my friend. My other friend really liked the tiramisu. I had the chocolate mousse cake and it was amazing. Again it was enough for multiple people. I can't wait to go back the next time I am in the area.

A staple in downtown Algonquin. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Go there on a date or bring a bunch of friends. They have plenty of room. Nice long bar to enjoy a drink while waiting for a table. You will be immediately greeted by a hostess when you walk in. They will tell you how long the wait is if they are busy, but chances are they can get you a table fairly quickly. Start off with bread and olive oil and grated parm. The staff will check in regularly to see if everything is ok.The pasta is excellent and served in massive portions. Be prepared to bring home leftovers. If you like steak or seafood you will also be impressed.Great wine selection and quality cocktails.

First time here! Fabulous restaurant, food, servers and atmosphere! Ambiance is old world Italian. We came on a Sunday evening and it was busy! Glad we had reservations. I'm Italian so I'm rather selective about Italian restaurants. Cucina Bella exceeded our expectations! Great cocktail menu! Menu allows to create and add to your selected pasta, sauces and extras, shrimp, ricotta etc. With the entrees you can have a cup of soup, I had the minestrone and it was excellent! Or a salad, up charge for the Caesar and chopped salads. We had the gnocchi and chicken saltimbocca. Both were excellent and we had lots of leftovers to take home. Gabby was our server and though she had a lot of tables was personable, knowledgeable and had excellent customer service skills. Highly recommend!

Food was excellent. Calamari app was more than 2 people could finish...We both had the salmon entree...the kitchen was happy to tailor it to our specific dietary needs...(No linguine...extra roasted potatoes/spinach)Our server was right on time the entire evening..letting us order at our own pace while still being pleasant and attentive. The ambiance was better than expected and parking was very easy considering it's on the main drag. Highly recommend.

I've lived in "old Algonquin" for over 4+ years now. Cucina Bella is always been a staple here in the community and people from far away know of the place.Cucina Bella is known for their authentic Italian dishes and MASSIVE pasta dishes. There is enough pasta in one order to feed four people and provide leftovers. I typically get the Capellini with Pomodoro Sauce. For protein, I typically add on a meatball or sausage link. Prices are a bit up there, but the portion size and quality EASILY justifies the price. You'll have warm-ups for days. The restaurant is very intimate and perfect for date night. They are full EVERY NIGHT of the week. In the Summer, their outdoor patio is phenomenal. Parking is the one downside. There isn't much parking downtown Algonquin. You may spend 10-15 minutes waiting to find a spot on the street. As I mentioned, the restaurant is at capacity every night. There may be a short wait, but I can assure you it is well worth it! Bring your appetite, you're going to need it!

This is a great Italian Restaurant that isn't overly expensive, service is always friendly, I love their meatballs with spaghetti and bolognese sauce. My wife loves the clam dish over some sort of pasta.

Let an underage hostess at the time and a cook who was old of age have a relationship together and flirt at work together it was disgusting

Was only at Cucina Bella for my first visit on Monday, December 12th, for a funeral luncheon, but it was obvious that this is a top-notch Italian restaurant. First, the ownership/management was kind enough to open early on a Monday afternoon - the luncheon was at 1pm while the restaurant usually opens at 4pm. The luncheon was for the mother of my dear friend of 40 years; the family had previously hosted her father's funeral luncheon. Both mother & father had loved this restaurant years earlier. The attitude of the servers was fantastic throughout the event. First course (everything served family-style) was a wonderful sausage meatball with peppers in a light tomato sauce. The salad course was fresh and flavorful & included olives and pepperoncini. A basic yet tasty bowl of mostaccioli followed. Final course was a perfect Chicken Vesuvio - extremely tender breaded chicken filets with excellent potato wedges & peas in a light garlic/oil sauce. Desert was a nice white cake with a raspberry jelly filling - a homage to their mother's love of raspberries! This is definitely on my list of restaurants to hit again.

Came in for three desserts for takeout. Asked for a Jack and Coke while I waited. The bartender poured half a shot of Old No. 7, ran out, then mixed in Jack Daniels Bonded with it. Sigh, tasted like junk Bomded is too sweet to mix woth Old No. 7. I asked her about it, and she admitted she mixed them. I kindly told her she shouldn't do that again. She asked if I wanted another, and I said, sure!, just don't mix it. She found another party, a big party, and forgot all about me. I approached her and another bartender as she was making a Jack and Coke for them. I suppose I was no longer important, seems she forgot all about me. Disappointed for the second time here in 2022. Too bad, we really enjoy the food. Seems the service has been the issue each time.
