So, people who like Swedish Flops with whipped cream and/or strawberries and powdered sugar here is my latest visit at Jewel in Algonquin. As you can see there is no filling whatsoever and no powdered sugar, just two pastry shells. I brought this package to the employee in bakery and 20 minutes later it was back in its original spot.

Im right around the corner from this Jewels literally 2 mins driving. I'm mad I had to rate one star I wish I can rate them 0 stars. I feel so uncomfortable with this place it's not even funny. Just because of my nationality doesn't mean I steal. I experience some racial things in this store it's not even funny. Just because you all have a hand full off African Americans doesn't mean anything. I check myself out all eyes on me soon as I get done about to walk out now the cashier walks off like helloooo what about the other people that's still right there still ringing up. Or sometimes don't nobody be there then I walk up to self check out then boom here come all the cashiers. Let me make this clear to this store I DO NOT STEAL I have a business of my own not 1 not 2 but I have 3. But I will never spend a dime is this place ever again I will go all the way to the Jewels by Springhill Mall where I get some respect

Always a good experience at Jewel-Osco Have what I want and everyone is helpful and friendly. Very nice store. Clean and well organized. All employees were courteous and professional. very large with the best selection of gluten free things I have seen anywhere. The fish and fresh meat counter are good. and the bakery section could cause you to completely blow your diet and your budget! Everything in one place! Good line organization, shorter wait than expected, everyone wearing masks as they should. Excellent variety of products! The store is in a great location and very accessible. Overall a great store.

My aunt had a unpleasant experience. She went to purchase flowers for Mother's Day. As she proceeds to the self checkout, she tells me that the workers were staring at her and following her, As it seems that they were trying to "ensure" everything goes into the scanner. She says that once the self checkout starts beeping for assistance from a worker. Every employee turns blind eye and doesn't help her. Note she was the only customer at self checkout. Once she walks up to the person that is clearly next to the self checkout. She ignores her but proceeds to fix the problem without a word. This isn't the first time something like this happened. I've been to this jewel myself and felt the environment utterly racist. Considering that they hired someone that has been jailed for hate crime previously. I've too been followed around the store. And I see other reviews from this jewel I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks this way.

Avoid this dump at all cost. Customer service representative means the idiot up front that avoids customers at all cost and does whatever they want. Went to get a bucket of chicken for dinner. was supposed to get three breasts in the bucket for picky kids. the clerk at the deli counter told me that there were three breasts in the bucket. Got home to find two breasts in the bucket (dear hendry, dear hendry two breasts). Went all the way back. CSR was terribly bothered by my being there. Those whacky customers always needing stuff. I mean why would a CUSTOMER SERVICE REP help a customer? She huffed and puffed and walked me back to the deli counter to park me in line to wait while my hungry family waited at home. Paying high prices and getting treated like crap is not a win win scenario for this customer. To the middle management puke running the place: take the SAP training unit on common sense a couple more times, it didn't rub off yet, you are needing more. Maybe the corporate training on how to deal with people....god forbid.....then maybe work on your CSR's a bit.....or just wait and let the door revolve some more and usher in the new morons on how to treat people like crap and charge too much???? Please convince me on any metric known to mankind that this is a good deal......Avoid this dump at all cost. Avoid this dump at all cost. I've also heard the cashiers speak terribly of management and the lead front end people. They would know. they see it every day. Oh, yes, and their help line is unanswered, the store phone is unanswered, and to fill out a complaint at the "corporate" site, you need to have the sku number, recumbent DNA sequencing, GPS coordinates, quackenbush coefficients and lateral grunge....so that they can spam you, scam you, give you the cookie, the spam and the survey. If you like paying to much and getting lousy service with no recourse, please RUN and don't walk to the algonquin Jewel. Otherwise, maybe not so much? My policy is that I really don't like getting screwed.....that doesn't seem to agree with Jewel Big Corporate.

I want to make sure that Jody one of the managers there get special recognition for stepping up and helping my mom when she really needed it. My moms portable oxygen tank battery died just before she went into jewel today (3/2/2020) and my mom made it to the registers without oxygen, when Jody seen her she immediately got my mom a chair and had her call me. Being unable to drive both vehicles back she got my mom a scooter helped her out to her car where her oxygen machine cou

Their pharmacy is soooo slow when asking for a flu shot. It seems to take awhile to process the paperwork for the flu shot. Then we had to wait again for the shot to be mixed. The whole process just seemed so much longer than if you were to do it thru your drs office.

This is for the Pharmacy ONLY - the store is awesome. I came to this pharmacy maybe a year ago, and have always loved it...until yesterday evening. The Pharmacy Tech that was on duty was so horribly rude, I was so mad and insulted. Didn't even have the common courtesy to say hello, can I help you...nothing. Just stood there, chomping on her gum. She asked my name, with no greeting at all. When I asked her what the price was going to be, she said "well I have to upload it first"...mind you she still hasn't looked at me. I said I really need to know that price...then she looked and me and in a sharp voice, stated her point again, loudly. Wow....I have a friend who is desperately looking for work, and would be so good to any position gifted to her. Too bad you chose to hire this "person" or people like her instead. Wouldn't give you .25 cents for the Pharmacist either, as he sided with her, instead of correcting her.

This Jewel is a mere stone's throw from my new house. I was actually excited to have one so close when I first moved to Algonquin in December. Having a grocer close by was a selling point. After visiting several times however, I can't say I was even remotely surprised to come here to Yelp and find that my neighbors have a scornful view of how the place is run which matches my own. I am not really a rant type of guy, but this place really needs some work to be on an even keel with other Jewel locations I have visited. The produce is not very fresh, some of the bread I have purchased has been moldy within 48 hours, and most of the employees I have interacted with have been either aloof or else acting like I am putting them out to ask for something. Chances are high I will still be returning to this place at some point based upon the fact that it is so close. There are just times I don't feel like venturing out far, especially when it's as cold as it has been this Winter. However, I will certainly not be doing the bulk of my shopping here until I see some clear evidence of improvement.

Molded vegetables, I went to pick up an eggplant and not one had mold ALL had mold. As I was walking out I told the lady at the courtesy desk your eggplants are all moldy. She looked at me very casually and didn't stop what she was doing and said, I'll tell the produce department. I thought yea, you tell the produce department.... But I will never be in here again. Clear she couldn't care less.
