Jasmine is an incredible massage therapist. I've been seeing her for approximately 5 years. She has a relaxing touch yet really gets the knots out. Her scalp and facial massages are to die for. I never realized how much tension was in my face or how a scalp massage could relax your entire body before visiting her.One of the BEST things about Jasmine is her pursuit of continuing education. She is always seeking to improve her techniques. She attends classes, reads, talks to other therapists, etc and it shows. She is a 10 on a scale of 1-5 in my book! ?The best advice I can give anyone seeing Jasmine or any massage therapist is to communicate. The BEST therapists are intuitive. But they still aren't mind readers! If you don't tell your therapist where your aches and pains are, if the pressure used is too much or too little, if you feel like you'd rather skip legs because your back/neck is such a hot mess, etc, you aren't going to be satisfied with your session and your therapist will be disappointed he/she wasn't able to give you the service you wanted/needed.You don't expect the barritista at the coffee shop to know what you want intuitively when you walk through the door. It's the same with massage. It's also good to say you don't know if you haven't had a massage before or had one so long ago you don't remember. That helps, too!If you do visit Jasmine, I should warn you...you'll be back! When I leave a session with her I feel like I just left some sort of holistic wellness session. I just feel "right" and relaxed. She doesn't chant or anything out of the ordinary. It's just something about her approach and her touch. A Healing Touch is the best phrase I can think of to describe it.Thank you for always going above and beyond, Jasmine!!!!

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I feel that I should so that appropriate changes are made moving forward.I’d like to start off by saying that the massage was incredible, however, it was the customer service, hospitality, lack of communication, and quite frankly, the judgement I received that made this experience uncomfortable and made me feel unwelcome.I called reception to schedule an appointment and was told it would be $98 for a 90 min - that I’d be receiving the introductory rate. When I came into my appointment, I could feel that I was being judged right away for wearing a Carhartt jacket, redwing boots, and jeans - non of which were dirty, smelly, or gross in any way. My massage therapist made it obvious that she was annoyed with having me as a client and I believe that it was due to the clothes I was wearing. She was very short with me, very blunt, and quite frankly, kind of mean. She did not walk me out to reception after the massage or anything like the other therapists were doing. Her name was Justyna. Again, the massage was incredible. After my massage was completed, I came to reception to pay, and I was told my price would be $113. It’s only $15 more, but I explained that I was told it would be $98. I was pretty much told that who ever I spoke to (Jacqueline, who was right next to the blonde girl who was taking my payment) was wrong and “too bad”. I paid without any issues as it really was only $15, tipped Justyna $25 for her great massage, and was about to be on my way. Jacqueline did apologize and tell me it was her who told me the pricing, I appreciated the honesty - but it would have been nice to have the pricing we agreed to prior to me booking. All in all, I don’t think I’ll be coming back after being treated this way. I was seriously considering becoming a member with my wife, however, a massage is supposed to be a relaxing experience, not a stressful one where you feel judged through and through for the clothes you wear. Please make sure your staff is aware of this - just because I wore “construction” clothes, doesn’t make me dirty or poor, no one should feel that way.

Look for Justina. She’s so good. I enjoyed my massage and will go back to see her again.

Scheduled an appointment over the phone for my husband and I. I specifically told the girl over the phone I don’t want my husband to get contacted as it was a birthday surprise. I get a call a day before to be told our appointments had been moved and I was ok with it but also reminded them NOT to contact my husband. I was told over the phone that there was only a deep tissue massage to be available at the time of appointment. I was never explained how the massage was going to be as I told them it was my first time. I start getting the massage and all I’m getting is elbows on my back being pressed down and instead of feeling relaxed I am more in pain. I eventually stop the girl and I told her I wasn’t enjoying the massage at all. I get a manager and I tell her that I was never explained how the massage was going to be and she tells me we left a voicemail on the other phone number on our list when I had reminded the girl not to contact my husband. So then I go back to why would you call him when I said do not call him. Right away she was caught in a lie about her calling explaining how the massage was going to be. I definitely will not be coming back.

This poor review comes down to communication and timeliness. My therapist was 10 minutes late bringing me back to my room, so 15 minute late start. Furthermore, my therapist was having "a cuticle issue" and therefore would be wearing plastic, oversized gloves on her hand for my session. As I was already undressed and on the table, I agreed to proceed. After 20 minutes I asked to discontinue the session as the plastic was irritating my sensitive skin and overall was just not an enjoyable massage experience. By the time I was dressed and out to the counter the therapist was there hovering, I'm sure waiting for me to express my disdain. Needless to say, I was still charged a credit from my plan and was asked to leave a tip.I understand we all have jobs and need to make an income, but if you have to wear plastic gloves while administering a massage, stay home. Or better yet, how about you provide your customer with an opportunity to say yes or no to this experience prior to the session beginning.

Today I had an appointment for a noon massage. Just as I’m leaving for my appointment my husband asks me to cancel my massage because his car won’t start and he needs mine to return to work. I called ME to cancel and attempt to reschedule the same day because my daughter will be home soon and I can take her car. I’m informed that my therapist is booked for the rest of the day and I will be charged for missing my appointment. Wait a minute, do they give me some kind of compensation when they cancel my appointments on the same day? Absolutely not! I’ve even shown up for an appointment and was told that they tried to call me yet I have no missed calls or voicemails proving their attempts. Today the receptionist was also quick to inform me that back in 2019 I cancelled on the same day ONE TIME FOUR YEARS AGO.I could understand enforcing this policy with clients that are repeat offenders but to slap the hand of a loyal client that clearly doesn’t have a pattern of doing this is very bad business practice.Today I asked to speak to the manager Kaylin about this, she called me within a few minutes with an attitude very short and rude. She said she has to protect her therapists and charge me for the appointment. I reminded her that her therapist is booked for the rest of the day and she should also be concerned with her clients/members that keep her in business. She then proceeded to inform me with a very nasty tone that my same day cancellation FOUR YEARS AGO was forgiven. Big deal, I forgave all of their same day cancellations and it hasn’t been only ONE IN FOUR YEARS. I didn’t cancel my membership after their repeated offenses. According to Kaylin I will be hearing from one of the owners named Jake, let’s see if that happens.

Went for a facial at this location in Algonquin. Loved my esthetician, Julia! She explained everything and asked what my goal was for my skin. Very gentle, very nice facial massage. Very relaxing. Would definitely recommend!!

Not respectful of people’s schedules. I’ve walked in for 2 appointments only to be told that they don’t have my appt in the system and have no providers available. I booked the appointment with the front desk at my last appointment so really frustrating and I don’t understand how that could happen. If you have a busy schedule and value your time I don’t recommend this establishment

This establishment is disorganized, unprofessional, and lacking in honesty. Appointments are moved around without the customers permission. The managers are untrained and ill-equipped to deal with the issues they create. MASSAGE ENVY is great about taking your money.

Staff is great here. Respectful, efficient and friendly. But, until the last several months, it's been very difficult to schedule any appoints thru their app. There are NO therapists available. Not sure if the app is accurate but A LOT of their usual, and great therapists, are no longer available. I'm not sure if that's a lack of availability, or they no longer work here. But you're currently looking at more than 1 month out to schedule your appt, especially if you prefer a female therapist. Very disappointed it's no longer feasible to get a massage at my, once "local spot"

I was a little nervous making an appointment, as there aren’t many positive reviews from the last couple years but had a gift card I needed to use. I made my appointment online a week or so in advance, and received a confirmation call a day prior to my appointment. Very friendly on the phone. An hour or so before my scheduled appointment I received a call asking if I wanted to come in early due to a cancellation, and I was happy to do so! Front desk staff was friendly, all waiting areas were clean and I didn’t wait long before Sam (Samantha) was ready for me. She listened to my needs, and the whole experience was amazing. She is ‘heavy handed’ and it’s just what my body needed, but she kept reminding me she could ease up if needed. I highly recommend her while making appointments, I’d give her 10 stars if I could!

Massage therapist was running late for my appt so for some reason that meant my massage got cut short. I arrived 15 minutes early like I always do and my massage itself minus the time to change to get in and out of the room was only 40 minutes. As for the massage itself it was just not great, rushed and nothing special. Paid extra for a foot scrub and that consisted of just putting a hot towel on my foot then scrub on, not even rubbing it around and then wiping it off. Total waste of my money. Could have gotten a better massage from my boyfriend for free. The only thing I can say that was positive was the front desk staff was friendly but I do not recommend this place, save your money and go to a real massage therapist.

Great massage and very therapeutic and relaxing. Don't know exactly how much it cost because it was a birthday present but I'm sure it was worth the money.
