I highly recommend Pause for Pets! We recently used them in October 2025 while attending a wedding, and they exceeded our expectations in every way.
Their professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. The owner, Susanne, and the sitter, Amanda, arrived 30 minutes early to meet our dog and ensure they had good chemistry together. This extra time also allowed us to answer any questions and help them get comfortable with our hotel environment, which gave us complete peace of mind before leaving for the event. They even introduced us to a new style of harness leash that worked very well for our young spirited puppy.
Throughout the evening, the sitter sent us photos showing how well our dog was doing, which we really appreciated. It was clear that safety was their top priority—both for our pet and their employee.
The entire experience was delightful, and their genuine care for animals really showed. If you're looking for a trustworthy, conscientious dog sitting service, look no further! We have already booked with them again in November.

Susanne & team (Amanda & Alice) took incredible care of our Boxer and Shepherd while we were away.
They go above and beyond. So grateful to find a place to come to our house and care for our dogs while we’re away.
I highly recommend Pause for Pets!!! This was our first time using a pet sitting company and I will be using Pause for Pets going forward. They were meticulous about our dogs. They sent me journals with each visit and pictures.
Beyond happy with the service!!!

I am so grateful and thankful for Susanne and her immediate and compassionate response to provide such great care for my kitties during my recent medical emergency which so unexpectedly took me away from my home and sweeties for almost 3 weeks. I don't know what i would have done without her help, and never for one moment worried about the tender and loving care she was giving. Thank you so much for giving me peace of mind during such a stressful time. You are indeed the best of the best!

I was nervous leaving our babies with a pet service for the first time but had no reason to be. Pause 4 pets went above and beyond in the care they provided and exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed all the check ins with updates and pictures. We will definitely be using them again!

I’ve been using Pause for Pets since my pup was 6months, she’s 2.5 now! I could not recommend them enough! Leigh, Amanda and Suzanne are PHENOMENAL. They give my dog plenty of love and attention, always go above and beyond my expectations. I have a random schedule, where at certain times of the year I need a weekly/bi-weekly walk, and other times I don’t. They’ve always been great at accommodating my schedule. You will not be disappointed with their service!

Pause for pets is incredible. They go above and beyond every time. I have been using their services for at least 5 years, multiple times a year and have never had any issues and have always had incredible 5+ star ? service. Susanne the owner is always accessible if my needs change. The rest of the staff is incredible with extra attention to detail. The fact that all the employees have been with the company for multiple years is also a benefit as my kitties get to know and trust them.

Updating our review: We hired Pause for Pets to care for our two dogs while we were away on vacation. They took care of all the walks, care and feeding, including overnight stays at our home. We have used Susanne’s dog walking service for several years, but this was the first time for extended stays, and they did a wonderful job. It was nice getting reports with photos throughout the day of what our pups were up to, including a final good night post. We returned home to find our girls happy (not having to be boarded in a strange environment), the house thoroughly neat and clean, and the yard free of poops. Not an easy task considering mild temps, rain, and a really muddy yard. We enthusiastically recommend Pause for Pets for any of the services they offer!
Pause for Pets pet care has been a great blessing to us and our two dogs. Susanne and her team are consistent, reliable and allow us to go about our workdays without worrying about our dogs being cared for. The website is super easy to use for scheduling, payments and to access the daily reports with photos we love to get. We’ve been using Pause for Pets for quite some time now and give them our very highest recommendation!

Pause for Pets is a great service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They are very organize and commited with their work. The pet caregivers are amazing and they do their work with love and dedication. They have an app that makes everything easier, organize information like: Profile information, payments, pet care instructions, etc. When I came back home everything was clean and organize (my pet dishes, sand box, water fountain, etc.). The best of all my cat was happy and didn't show any sign of stress. ? We are very satisfied with the service and will use them in the future. We definitely recommend the service in a 100%.

Susanne, Leigh, and Cody really put my mind at ease while we were away. This was our first time using pet sitters - we usually board our dogs, but due to our place closing and one of our dog's requiring more TLC, we opted to find a pet sitting service. Right away when I spoke with Susanne, I felt Pause for Pets was professional and thorough. I met with a few other companies but ultimately chose Pause for Pets because of my initial conversation with Susanne and my gut feeling of their reliability and the level of care they'd be able to provide. My gut wasn't wrong! I love the portal Pause for Pets uses - it allowed me to enter in as much detail as I needed regarding our home and our pets. I was also able to see the daily journal entries with information about each visit, along with photos. Next time we need pet sitters, Pause for Pets will be my first call!
