I wish I didn't have to leave a negative review. We ordered our couch at the room place in November of 2023, with an initial delivery date in January 2024. The delivery date has been delayed multiple times, and now I was informed delivery is delayed until September. Delays are never explained, and no solution or discounts offered to us for these unexplained recurring delays. Every time I have called, the manager is out and I never receive a call back. Hopefully this review can prompt further action and assistance. But beware ordering from them as I have not been happy with the service and unreasonable delays.

This place is a scam!Our sales guy did not inform us that we had a certain amount of time to pay off our loan otherwise they were going to pile on surplus charges on our account. Do not buy from here, shady sales are done here. Plus the couch we have is poorly made and practically falling apart.I would avoid doing business with the room place at all cost. There customer service team is utter garbage and useless. I repeat do not buy furniture from this place

If you find the right employee, they will make your visit worthwhile. My boyfriend and I were looking for a new sectional so we stopped at the RoomPlace. Upon first walking in, we were ambushed multiple times by the same woman. We made it very clear that if we need help we will find someone. She finally backed off and we went looking around. Brian Shay offered us help once and then walked away, giving us the space we needed. When we had questions, we were more willing to find Brian and ask him for help, as opposed to the woman who kept following us. He provided the information we needed and we went on our way. The next few days went by and I sent him an email. ON HIS DAY OFF, Brian replied to emails in a timely manner and was able to work with us to find what would get us the best deal. We really appreciate Brian's help and look forward to speaking with him again when we are ready to purchase more furniture.

Brian was very helpful with my furniture purchase. I would highly recommend buying the Dalton surround system couch. This couch is amazing, so far we’ve watched the Jurrasic World movies and plenty more and the couch really feels like you’re at the movie theatre. Not only is it Bluetooth wireless but you can also connect it to an older TV. Thanks again Brian, FYI I found the wire to connect it to my tv. 15 bucks at Walmart. You’re the best, family’s happy.

They don’t replace anything that breaks but will say you have coverage they are overpriced for the merchandise they sell and will not replace it. The company they use to deliver the merchandise will mess your walls up and they will not try to make it right. If I could I wouldn’t give them 1 star. Time to lawyer up!! I guess the room place some credit after the service I received and my review they made it right with me not the same quality as before but I’m ok with the results

We purchased a couch In November and had it custom done. We were told by Brian we would get updates along the way on where it's at. Which we NEVER got unless I called. Couch came Saturday only to find out he ordered the wrong piece. We got a phone call from him Sunday giving us the "Everyone orders these pieces differently..blah...blah" We were then told we would get another call Monday but he didn't get in until 3 to tell us when we would get it. That phone call never came. We called and they told us he was already gone for the day and a manager would call us after they were done with a customer. We never got that phone call either. It's ridiculous we got an email stating the other piece would be another 8 weeks.

I recently was shopping for a particular piece of furniture, and the Algonquin location was the only one that had it that was reasonably close to me. I walked in, and Elvira assisted me. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and resourceful. She didn’t hover around me as I walked through the store, which I very much appreciated. I had a few questions and unfortunately the piece I wanted was not available in the color that was shown on the floor. Elvira did a great job of looking for different items and had other suggestions. The next day I was able to put in an order for Furniture . She followed up every step of the way, and was very , pleasant and resourceful throughout the process.I’ve purchased furniture from The Room Place in the past, and I’ve always believe they had a lot of variety and merchandise available, and their furniture was of above average quality.Highly recommend!

I was looking for a few pieces of furniture after I did some research online. Elvira helped me and she was amazing! She was professional, knowledgeable and not pushy which I know we all don't like when we are shopping. She helped me look at a variety of pieces as what I had in mind wasn't available. She spent time researching for me and followed up by phone the next day. I did purchase two items the following day. The process was smooth and she was wonderful to work with! I have bought furniture from The Room Place before and I've always been happy with the quality of furniture and the variety of merchandise. Delivery is easily scheduled. Highly recommend!

They had a good selection of couches that you could roll around on. I picked one, but there’s no way in hell I would get a floor model. It just seems gross.

I bought a dining room table from the room place in Algonquin. Brittney asked if she could help me. I told her exactly what I was looking for and she took me rite to it. She was very patience with the sale and nice. Even honest enough to go get her manager Joshua to answer what she couldn’t. He as well was very nice, polite and didn’t rush my sale. I will go back to purchase there and ask for Brittney. Thanks for making my purchase with buying from at your store!!

Complete and total nightmare. With the holiday sale coming I'm warning you just stay away!!!!!! sale sounds amazing deals great till the delivery to your household. Multiple pieces missing with dates pushed back every week or in my case the wrong couch sent. There fix to that problem "well we won't charge you for delivery of your new couch" my new couch? You mean the one I purchased and you didn't deliver? Lead manager is a clown offered me 100$ credit for the 4 occasions I had to stop back to his store to check on my incomplete order AND the 4 days with 3 hour time variatof when they would delivery my wronfurniture. But there's more im still being charged for the couch that I didn't order the sales associate accidentally put on my order is still on the sales order. Worst thing about this whole experience is I can't get ahold of anyone i call and just get pushed aside. This clown show is a nightmare. Stay awayEdit: after receiving a email and phone call from the room place my review still stands they offered me 100$ and apologized for the inconvenience. Not the lady's fault on the phone they are just too big to care.

This place is very pretty however the lack of knowledgeable employees really turned this place into a disappointment. I went in looking at kids furniture was in there for about 20 mins before my friend and I even saw an employee. Finally a girl named Brittany came up asking if we'd been greeted yet. To which we said no, she ignored that and rambled on about some 25% sale and said let her know then walked away to return on her cell phone. My friend and I continued around the store stopping to look at mattresses. Brittnay again came up saying we found our testers mattresses to which we said ya. She went on to quickly explain a mattress we didn't even look at had memory form then trailed off. I asked her if they had any cribs. To which she responded "huh" obnoxiously. I repeated my question realizing she must not have an idea of what a crib was. After already being in the children's department for 20 mins, hardly anything at all let alone cribs, she repeated maybe its by the kids stuff. I politely told her no they're not. She preceeded to say I'll go ask walked away and my friend notice she just sat on her phone. 5 mins later she came back saying her manager said they don't carry any sorry and walked away. Not once did we see her again and I was actually curious about the credit card and would've appreciated my questions answered. It's a shame because that store looks so cute but prehaps they need to train their employees better or give some extra training time if they struggle to comprehend things.
