“If I could give this place 10 stars, I would the owner Hands down is a gift from God. The customer service is amazing. I was having car trouble and a random town in Illinois 3 1/2 hours away from my house. The only thing I could think of was to pray and then start calling nearby car places. Ritter’s Was 10 minutes away and to be honest, my only option when I say the owner Greg work with me, he explained things to my level of understanding he did what he could to get me and my family
Safe. I have never ran across anyone to take the money and the business out of the equation and think about me as an individual when it comes down to car safety. If you guys live in the Illinois area I suggest that you give them a call 10 out of 10. definitely recommend tell your family tell your friends. “Kevin the owner is always there at the shop. my car needs are always met with options and by far a fair price for the service provided. I bought tires and had them on less than a month. Called with a nail in my tire and he had me in promptly to get it fixed. Thanks to all the staff there they are always very kind”

THE SHIFT SOLENOID ON MY 2003 FOR EXPLORER HAD BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES WITH AN AFTERMARKET PART AND FAILED . I HAD A FRIEND AT THE DEALER DO A SEARCH . GOT ME THE NUMBER TO YOUR DEALER. I SPOKE TO MATT IN PARTS . HE CONFIRMED THEY HAD THE PART. THEN PROCEEDED TO GET ME FIXED UP. SHIPPED IT TO ME IN A SHORT TIME . I AM GREAT FUL FOR MATT AT SCHMIDT . IF NOT FOR HIM THE EXPLORER WOULD BE DOWN OR ANOTHER AFTERMARKET PART AND MAYBE FAILURE AGAIN”

“Bob's is the most knowledgeable mechanic I have ever known he replaced the cams, lifters and rockers on my Jeep $3800 a few days later I found the same parts kit on the internet for $760
I wish the parts people would look at other places besides NAPA for parts. The two day job was done in 6 hours and I was back on the road and my car is running great. Thanks Bob”
“I’ve had them install a new oil pan, replace the high pressure side AC hose, and patch a tire for me. Each time was a great experience. They are very transparent during the process and i never felt like they were looking to over charge me. They actually got the prices a lot lower than i had expected each time. I do most of my own maintenance and repairs on my vehicles but when i don’t have the time or equipment i would not hesitate to go back. I highly recommend them for any sort of repair you may need.Services: Auto maintenance”

“I dropped a semi radiator off that I thought was leaking. He tested it out throughly but couldn’t find a leak. And when I asked what I owe him, he said nothing because I didn’t do anything. He most certainly had the right to charge a service fee. Definitely can’t go wrong with him! Highly recommend”

“I'm not going to try talk bad about this place. From what I hear they do a really good job on everything they work on. My only thing is if you have to pay out of pocket they seem to be a little pricier than a lot of places. That may be because of their quality of work and the quality of parts they use. I called for an estimate on my transmission and they guy that took my call was very nice and helpful. He told me it would be pricey and called me right back in under five minutes with a quote. He was right and it was more than I could afford so I had to go somewhere else. But that doesn't mean I would not recommend them. I would definitely give these guys a call if you need work done and see what they have to offer.”
“These gentlemen do great work. They were honest with me and the work was done in less time than anticipated (had my water pump, timing belt and alternator belt replaced which was a 10 hr job but I had my car back in day and half) they saved me a good amount of money over the dealer.
They were only $75 more than their estimate but that was because they needed to replace the alternator belt which was unforseen but necessary.
They are privately owned and only handle cash or check. I felt they were up front and honest and did a great job. I'll take my car there again.”
