“I used to go to the one off Cicero because I'm literally around the corner, but I've found myself preferring making the minor detour as the staff is just more approachable at times I guess? They also seem to carry more rare finds, or keep the things I purchase frequently in stock. It's also much easier to get out of as there are multiple exits and traffic lights to keep traffic flowing all directions.”

“I go here almost every week because of my big family, though I can definitely tell you they will always and I mean ALWAYS have an amazing sale, not like the other stores where they have a sale on something no one wants, and something about this location specifically, if a line gets really really long, no one even has to ask, someone WILL come and OPEN ANOTHER LINE, and if you dont find what you need there, they WILL have it tomorrow, everyone is very professional there and sometimes they might even joke with you and have a nice conversation, if you want to get what you need and maybe have a good laugh, come here!”

“Jan 21 2026 update - This location was recently remodeled. 4/6 times that I've gone since the remodel, all six rows of carts have been jammed/stuck together. Other shoppers were also trying to get carts, including strong men who were unable. I've told an employee each time. Today an employee told me it's because of new & different size carts being used and pushed together. I love Aldi but will have to shop at a different location until they get this straightened out because I can't do all of my shopping without a cart.
But on the positive side of the remodel - it is now bigger, the aisles seem to be wider, and it seems like there are more aisles. There is now an entrance that leads directly outside. There are three rows of cart returns on either side of the doors. You bag groceries along the windows which is nice. This location does not have self checkout. Aldi retains many of the same friendly and competent employees.
I've read some negative reviews regarding fruits and veggies and other items. I've been going to this Aldi since it opened. I continue to find fresh, delicious, and unmoldy fruits like blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, green and red grapes, tomatoes, strawberries, apples, pears, bananas, watermelon, cantaloupes, avocados. I find fresh cilantro, onions, potatoes. This is where we do about 97% of our grocery shopping. I think one time I bought a bad watermelon. But that happens anywhere. Off the top of my head, the only things that I buy at other places are deli meats, diet pop, low carb items, stuff like that.
Original review - This location is a medium-sized Aldi. So this Aldi does not have as great as a selection as the larger Aldis. The store entrance is pretty close to the mall entrance. And even though there are parking spaces marked for Aldi customers parking can still be a pain when the mall is busy. A family member who has a handicap placard does not like to go to this location because it is hard to find handicap parking. However, that family member does like that there are Aldi shopping carts available outside of the mall that she can quickly grab to hold on to.”
“Great Place just always one line every time and stays that way til someone feel like helping, which is 30 to 45 mins later. I only go here because it’s close, If I was still driving I definitely will go elsewhere.”
“After a massive fire they're still striving to save the business. Serves the needs of its customers though some complain of some dry goods shortages. Will shop there nonetheless. Great produce. Was not short of reasonably priced eggs back when everyone had shortages or high prices. Discounts if paying in cash.”

“I really like this Aldi. This Aldi always have everything in stock and then some. Their vegetables are always fresh, and the potatoes are not rotten like some Aldi in different areas. Their shelves are always fully stocked, and the freezers and refrigerated areas are fully stocked. Whenever I go there to buy my groceries, I always find what I need. That's what keeps me coming back.”

“Aldi is a amazing grocery store, well organized, super clean, and amazing pricing. This store is efficient and they share those savings with the customer. They have everything you need, no real name brands, but exceptional quality none the less. No frills here, just a nice, fast, and economical shopping experience. Even the carts and designed to save money, put a quarter in for the cart and get it back when YOU return it, how clever is that. Nice big parking lot in safe Hodgkin's. Definitely a great supermarket and great value!”

“Several well known or name brand companies sell items here under a different name so they can still it for cheaper. Low overhead means the cashier may also be the stacker so be nice to them. I only have them 4 stars because they were out of an item I went there to purchase. If they roasted chickens like Costco or Sam's they'd get 6 stars.”
“They underwent construction earlier on in the year. The bread placement has changed to the beginning of the store, as well as the fruits and veggies. They added an extra freezer aisle. I believe there is more products then there used to be.”
“I go to this Aldi often and the employees are so nice and friendly. The store is clean and organized. The only issue is sometimes there is a long wait to check out so if you're in a hurry, I would avoid going between 4 and 6pm! Cheers!”

I have a receipt, but it’s hard getting a refund even when it’s for the most smallest amount: One manager who was an African-American female last year was so rude and uncouth just because I didn’t come in right away, but I’m a disabled grandmother and I can’t always come in during inclement cold weather right away and I have Disabilities, even though they have hard-drives to their cameras to prove I’m telling the truth?! It’s not my fault if cashiers are making mistakes and not doing their due diligence!”
“Great!! ALDI to shop in Tinley Park. I had a unpleasant situation about to 1 months ago. When I was going through self checkout and I was unaware I did not scan 3 of my items. Because I was on my cellphone and not paying attention. The cashier alerts the manager. And she a walks over to me and accused me of stealing. And stated she could call the police on me. I took $1,000.00 in cash out of me pocket. And told her I don't have to steal. Think you have a misunderstanding. I could have left the store and bought nothing. And called Corporate. But i didn't because you have to allow people to see that they were wrong about judging you. I paid for the item anyway. And left but I feel because I was African American she prematurely judged me because of the color of my skin.So I came back to visit the store again on June 1st. The situation happened May 1st. And this same manager was doing a online order and she was shopping for the items. I stop and asked her where was an item. I was looking for just so she could see my face again. To let her see that because you misunderstood. What happened that day. I'm going to allow you to see every person of color are not stealing. Expleacially not a ALDI. We as a people should not judge any culture according to the race or skin color. It's call being racist. Would i continue to shop there yes because I am a citizen of this country and I do not steal. Im a Home owner and a good person. I am still going to give the store a 5 star rate because the store itself shouldn't have to pay for a racist manager. The food is fresh and good quality. And you don't get that a every ALDI store so that is why some people go a little out of their way to visit another store. Thank you and i hope that my review express my disappointment in her actions. Not the store itself.”

“Reasonable prices, great product! I have raised my family on Aldi and have shopped Aldi for over 45 years! I would recommend it. Aldi has organic choices with no antibiotic meats. The produce is good. The bargan aisles have very cool finds. Stay out if those aisles if you are on a budget.”
