Similar to other stores in Alton, the section dedicated to larger sizes is slowly disappearing. You used to have a big selection, but now it's like one rack. Do better.. not everyone is on the smaller side.

On 2/2/24 I visited JCP in Alton Square just before closing, I needed clothing for my grandchildren, their grandfather had a funeral the next day. The clothing was located but during the transaction, I couldn't complete my purchase, but I returned the next morning and the original cashier was off. The employees

I was going through the clearance section, I noticed that they had put a narrow price sticker over the original price. As I was going through the shirts, there was one sticker that was put on that was showing part of the original price, out of curiosity, I peeled it back to see what the original price was, it was $25 originally and their "sale" price was $45. What a scam. I won't shop at JCPENNEY's again. Buyer beware.

Visited JC Penney in Alton on 12/22 and had a disappointing experience. Encountered poor customer service when I was overcharged for an Izod pullover. Despite explaining the discrepancy to the cashier, they claimed the sweaters were misplaced, refusing to honor the displayed price. This situation emphasizes the need for JC Penney to improve merchandising and communication to ensure a more positive customer experience.
