On Friday 09/15/23 we went to The Alton T-Mobile Store on Homer Adams Parkway looking for ideas on how to fix a Samsung S-21. After being given a repair company referral we inquired on how much a new phone would cost. They checked the account and told us that we could get a IPhone 13 for free and all that was required was to pay the taxes on it. We agreed that is what we would do and started the process of transferring all the information from the S-21 to the new phone and setting up actually 2 iPhone 13’s on the account with the T-Mobile internet. After a lengthy transfer process we were given the 13 and went on our way. Approximately 30 minutes later we received a text saying that she forgot to charge for the taxes and asked if we could come back which we did. Upon arriving at the store the employee that waited on us originally was gone and another employee proceeded to say that the first employee screwed up big and that there is no way they could proceed with the transaction. So fast forward to today my Spouse goes out to talk to who I assume is the Manager and he states that there isn’t any way he can give her 2 iPhone 13’s “BUT” he can do one 13 and offer her a phone that is a downgrade from her original phone. So asks him what type of phone he is talking about and he says he has one out in the car he could trade her for her old one.She now has a S-22 and can’t log into any of her apps. The original employee had even called her boss twice asking questions and he said that everything was good. I caution anyone and everyone that does business with this store make sure you triple check everything they do because if not you’ll end up getting screwed around like we did. If it weren’t for having our internet service with them I’d drop them like a bad habit. This is pathetic the way they say one thing and do just the opposite and refuse to stand behind it. I wish this review had a negative star review because that’s exactly what they would get.

The worst customer service ever. The man in the store is rude and a bully. Sent my son to pick up phone, I had ordered. I ordered online to pick up and had taken care of money already. He wanted hundreds more when my son got there.

Great store. They even corrected what another T-Mobile store messed up on my account. Very trustworthy store and staff. I pass 3 stores to come to this one. I will continue to do so for awesome customer service.

My son got a new phone and the guy that was transferring his data failed to transfer his pictures to his new phone and then erased the memory on his old phone.

Easily the worst in store experience I’ve ever had with a cell phone store. After 30 minutes of curly haired guy telling me I don’t have permissions to make alterations to MY OWN account, they are finally able to push my upgrade through their system. When I go to check out after having now been there an hour and a hal(haven’t even started the phone transfer process), their card system wouldn’t work and the rep proceeds to tell me I then have to drive to wooddriver to do the whole process again at a different store.All the while this dude was just watching football on his phone, and his customer service skills and attitude were pure trash.I then come to find out if I simply upgrade online and have the phone sent to my house that I wouldn’t have to pay the activation fee.Do yourself a favor and do your upgrades or phone purchases through their website because this store is terrible.

My cell ended up in the river and I was able to retrieve it. I figured it was totally fried as it made all kinds of electrical shortage sounds when powered on, this was after 2 days in rice. I received my new cell via FedEx on that 2nd day and took it into the Alton T-mobile store to see if anything could be salvaged from old phone. I figured it was a lost cause and I would only get to recover information that was Google backed up.Here is where this already long winded story makes a positive turn. I'm luck enough to get an awesome employee who was extremely diligent about getting the old phone power up enough to pull ALL the information off the old cell, this top notch employee's name is Andre. Most people, myself included would not have been so persistent. Not only was all information retrieved, the whole layout was the same as my old phone. Thanks again for all you did!

My husband and I came in after we had our numbers compromised with another carrier. Darious took extra time to show us how to remove the compromised numbers from apps and accounts transferred to our new phones, and made sure we felt good about the safety of our new phones and numbers before we left. All the staff we encountered while there were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Everything from the store in Alton was fantastic. My issue is with customer service billing got phones on the 6th bill cycle is from 6th to the 5th due on 24th. And now. Told to pay a full month bill due this month ..only 15.dayd after I start my service

Store sales are only high because they slap on a phone case, screen protector, and charger on new phones without asking if you want the items. They charge these in addition to the new phone upgrade fee and do not ask if you want them. Its hard to have raving fans for the store when you just fluck them over in the store while pretending to be nice to their face. Store should ask consent before throwing in extra items not asked for. These are shady business practices. I left felt being flucked over when supposed to leave happy about a new phone. TLDR: nice customer service to face, but also scamming people blindly with shady salesmen tactics and not disclosing information upfront.

Definitely the place to come to if you want to get phone service or buy a new phone . The customer service here is great, the team at this location always puts the customer first and isn’t afraid to answer any questions. I personally think this team deserves a raise with all the hard work I do.
