“If you love local history. If you’re doing any genealogy research for Southern Illinois. This is the place! They have a large selection of books on Southern Illinois. They have a large selection of books by local authors. They have new and old (used) books. They had books that I had never heard about. They also have a great selection of periodicals from various county historical societies. They also have a large selection of books on history and military history.
I visit about once a year just to shop this section. I always find so many books that I have a hard time deciding what I really need. It usually takes me an hour or more to look through all the books. And I walk out of there with a ton of research materials.”
