Story time.
I got my new car in September 2023, and it drove off the lot with tire issues. Constantly had to put air in my 2 passenger side tires and no one could ever tell me what was wrong.
A couple of months ago, my rear passenger side tire started balding really bad and showing metal so i took it to a Firestone near my house in Racine. I mentioned the constant loss of air, and mentioned I think it's a valve stem leak and they said not to worry because they do the valve stems when they do the tires. I drove away from there with no fix for that leak. And still no knowledge of whether or not it was a valve stem or a rim leak. So i take it to an Autozone and the guy tells me he thinks it's a rim leak and I'd either have to deal with it forever, or spend a lot of money on a new rim.
Now two days ago my front passenger side tire goes flat. I took it to car-x in Antioch yesterday while i was working, and they put a new tire in place of the flat, put a new tire on the front driver side because they noticed it needed it, AND told me that I was correct and i did have a valve stem leak in my rear passenger side tire. Needless to say, I'll never trust a Firestone again and these guys have earned my trust indefinitely. It's such a relief to not have to stop and put air in my tire every couple of days. Thank you for taking care of me, and my car, and for your quick and efficient work. You guys rock. Any future car problems or anything of the sort, ill be coming back to you guys 🤘

Reported my mileage wrong on repair order. Could potentially cause an odometer rollback to appear on my carfax diminishing my vehicles value. It takes many hours to get hold of carfax to provide documentation to fix. Take your car somewhere the techs take the correct time to record your vehicles data properly. The manager Rob was very argumentative.

Been coming to this business (carex / fast tire in antioch, IL) for perhaps 3o + years —-thru several name changes (antioch tire, then fast tire, now carex/fastire), at least 2 locations, with upwards of 10 different cars for soups to nuts range of work including tires, batteries, brakes, oil changes, filters, tune ups, etc.
Always found them to be fair, honest, quality work and good pricing. On those occasions where I was able to find a better price elsewhere, fast tire has frequently worked with me and matched a price or at least got close.
On the very rare occasions where a mistake or miscommunication was made- they have always stood behind their word and work.
In my experience Quality usually starts at the top and the longtime manger- John- is great. Friendly, very knowledgeable, patient, hands on and fair.
they have a big , clean waiting room with good WiFi and free coffee. If you’re waiting- There is a jimmy John’s next door, Culver’s, walmart, Menards and other fast food and retail across the street.
My only complaint is that for several years the service drive leading up to carex has lots of deep potholes and the problem continues to degrade . It’s my understanding the village is responsible for maintenance but I wish carex ownership with push the village to get this done.
I strongly recommend carex/ fast tire on antioch, IL for tires and just about any auto service work.

This was the worst experience with a mechanic. Went to get the alternator changed and left with a broken radiator. I dont recommend this place to anyone. They barely communicated for the whole week they had the vehicle. I absolutely would stay away from this place. I wasnt even warned about the radiator when i picked up my car.

Booked an appointment for a set date and time. Showed up on the scheduled time and date just to be told they did not have any techs to do the service. Their staff advised that their customer service is operated out of the Philippines and that they schedule appointments that they cannot service. Never using this business again.
