I am sick and tired of the monopoly these guys have on the market. My review is not directed at the people who serve customers, but the way things are done. The Walgreens pharmacy by us in Antioch IL frequently is closed down because of staffing issues. The other day I needed a simple pickup and both times I stopped by they were closed for meal breaks. WHY can't a company as big as this find a way to do things differently? WHY can't a technician be enough to simply transact a refill? I'm sure that there should be stronger regulations when dispensing a controlled substance but a simple antibiotic or refill should be less of an ordeal. When I'm sick they should be helping me get on with getting better, not running wild goose chases. The individuals I deal with at the store aren't necessarily the problem. They're just doing what they're required to do.

Walgreens Pharmacy this is very unacceptable. People drive out of way to pick up prescriptions to find out it is closed from 1600-1730. Thanks for letting everyone know.

Staff seems in no hurry to assist customers. Vaccinations are not done anywhere near the appointment time. Prescription quantities and reorder points are often not correct. There are times when the checkout is not manned and/or checkout clerk is in no hurry to get customers checked out.

Have been on hold for over an hour to see if a prescription for my mom was ready ,who is on hospice, to be told that the tech can't tell me if the prescription was ready and that I needed to talk to the Pharmisist since it's a controlled substance. Placed on hold again for another hour only to be told by Pharmasist that she has no clue if it's ready due to them being closed the past hour. Why answer a phone call in regards to a prescription if you are not able to access what is being asked? We've been trying for 3 days to get what my mom needs from them and it's been nothing but a mess. Thank goodness hospice has other ways to get her her medication, but if your loved one needed something fast...this is not the place to go.

So frustrating when calling the Antioch Walgreens. Most of the time, I'm on hold for a long time. Then I get a corporate person who normally has to transfer me to the store and I go on hold again. Today, I called as I am having a surgery on 9/14/23 am. I asked about a prescription my doctor sent to them. The instructions are for them to fill it on 9/14/23. The girl told me I have to call on 9/14/23 morning to remind them. I told her I'd be in surgery. She said that was the only way they can fill it on 9/14 is if I call to remind them. No flexibility. So frustrating as I've been getting my prescriptions here for 25+ years.

Perfect pharmacy service. We're from out of town visiting and we needed to get our prescriptions filled. Easily done. Friendliest people serving us.

Ugh. I have been using this pharmacy for years and since they’ve switched staffing about two years ago, it has gone to hell in a handbasket. Absolutely the rudest staffing and so inconsiderate of people and their privacy. That is why I will be switching pharmacies. I’m completely disgusted by them and how absolutely rude and disrespectful they are. If it were possible to give them know, stars, I would. And it’s very sad because this used to be a great pharmacy.

Pharmacy told me my prescription would be done in 10 min and to come back to pick it up and then they immediately closed the pharmacy so now I can’t get my medication

Don’t trust the pharmacists! They were supposed to request a refill from my doctor yesterday and when I called today to see the status, no one sent the request to my doctor. I even asked if I should call the doctor to speed up the process and they said no. Shame on me for believing them. Glad I called my doctor myself today. I will be finding a new pharmacy. This is the worst Walgreens I’ve ever been to. Stay away and find a different location to use.

An employee attempted to buy my photos and take them home before I arrived. When I walked in the door I noticed an employee was going through a box of photos. After standing in line I requested them at the front desk. They said they didn't have them even though I had received a notification that they were ready. After requesting further help, it became apparent that the employee had bought my photos to take home privately. When she saw me walk in and realized I was there for the photos, she returned them so that I could take them home. The whole interaction was very awkward and strange. After arriving at home we called Walgreens to talk to the manager and report what happened. The manager stated that this is normal practice and employees are fully able to purchase customer photos for personal use. This was extremely upsetting to hear because it goes against their privacy agreement.Walgreens has not gotten back to me in almost a month about this situation. It has become apparent to me that they will do whatever they want with your personal photos without any accountability. The included picture is the photo box I received which is not sealed and has been tampered with. I am not planning on using Walgreens for photos again, and I would advise you to do the same.

An employee with the name Monica was being ridiculously disrespectful and rude to me and other customers. I witnessed her completely stop a transaction for no reason and frustrate another customer while I was waiting in line. I was in the store for a lot longer than I needed to be and I contemplated putting my items back and going somewhere else. Every time I have been there and this employee was not there I have never had an issue with poor service.

Terrible experience.Sunday 12/5/21 at Antioch location. We pulled into pharmacy over 20 minutes before close to get our newborns prescription. We called prescription 2 days ago. They close at 5:00 and they already were prepping to close when we pulled in with lights off. We sat waiting for someone to come to window- then Tyler and Lilly would not assist us. The pharmacist wouldn’t even come to the window when we said we had questions because we were concerned with our baby. All they kept saying was they wouldn’t help us because they were closed. Even though we were there 20 minutes before close. This is not the first time we had issues at Walgreens. They do not care about their patients, and the pharmacist was unprofessional because they just wanted to leave. Now our newborn is without medicine thanks to Walgreens and their poor customer service. Do not recommend this pharmacy. I would go somewhere else where they care
