Great experience as a first timer with Dr Man. The staff was very kind and helpful. I especially loved how Dr Man took her time to explain my conditions with me as well as my treatment options . I highly recommend her

I've been a patient at this office for a decade and the customer service has been deteriorating for awhile, it's at its lowest and I'm ready to find a new practice for my health care needs. The walk-in clinic hours are not consistent, they shared hours that were not always accurate. This is very inconvenient and frustrating as a patient. When I tried to make an appointment, they suggested I use their walk-in hours... When I explained, I had tried to use their walk-in hours without success, I was told to come first thing, which isn't convenient with my schedule.

This review only applies to the ultrasound technician on duty today June 17th not the staff interception area who was cheerful telephoto and was aghast that might endocrinologist still used a fax machine. So the technician was cold that's okay I don't expect warm from somebody I asked it was okay to talk she said snow I'll be asking you questions and you giving you directions to breathe no talking while she's getting ready I did talk in the meantime she says don't talk anymore I said okay you can tell me to shut up you don't have to be polite and laughed. At the completion of the ultrasound she said you can go out the door to your right without checking in with everyone and just late I said okay I grabbed my personal belongings and reminded her to give me my sunglasses which were in a different location and and gave them to me with a second set of identical directions on how they get the heck out of that room to the right in through the reception don't talk to anybody. Well I opened the door and it didn't have to stop so it can it banged against the wall a little bit it was nothing intentional and I was completely innocent this technician took it upon herself to give me a scolding that that was rude and you're not be banging the door in here well okay I wasn't rude the doorbell rings on its own blah blah blah and this was after I had waited a full hour and 45 minutes to get my test in my opinion I think that she appears to believe stitches paid extra to treat her client who visit her rudely for no apparent reason.

This review is for the dermatology services offered at 1051 W Rand Rd. Title: A good dermatology clinic plagued by availability issues. Review: The office staff are friendly, the dermatologists are very nice providers and more often than not treat the right condition. Skin conditions being complex it's often a game of cat and mouse til the root cause is found and cured. That game of cat and mouse is made far harder in this office because of availability problems. I can't blame them for having such a short list of dermatologists in this clinic. If you have relatively basic needs and time isn't critical and you're heavily connected to the NCH team then this clinic should do fine for you. If you have little connection to Northwest Community Hospital (my primary doc is out of Advocate. I barely use NCH services aside from emergency and immediate care. I was sent here by immediate care) then you'll probably be better served by a private fully staffed dermatology center. As this is not that. NCH dermatology is a small sub specialty within their specialty services. I would have kept the doctor on my treating staff if his availability wasn't plagued by overscheduling. They're clearly understaffed and the office has a hall of rooms as far as the eye can see yet availability problems will have you waiting weeks or more for an appointment. If time is of an essence and you need high availability, go to a dermatology clinic that does nothing but dermatology because this place is way too busy. The office is clean and the waiting area accommodates plenty of people with social distancing. Front desk staff are nice and when you can get an appointment they see you on time every time. If getting an appointment wasn't a hop on a waiting list ordeal I'd give them five stars but because the hospital can't be arsed with having more dermatologists on staff I have to dent them a star on the rating. NCH medical group, y'all should know better by now and stack the hall with dermatologists. Competing clinics are easily taking patients away from NCH. If you want to financially survive you gotta spend money to make money and NCH clearly isn't doing that. Although clean the office is dated looking, older decor and cabinetry are evident of the executive staffs ignorance to invest in more clinicians and a better working environment for them. The clinicians aren't the problem, the executives and management are.

I am a physician within this same healthcare system, and I elected to have Dr. Man as my PCP. She is thorough and responsive. In addition, she is a kind person who always demonstrates compassionate care. Excellent bedside manner.

It was really bad experiences with the Medical records department! The customer service was extremely rude when I told them I was a patient of NCH Medical Group and I was also a third party to request my own medical records. I faxed my medical record request form in advance that I agreed to pay if they had the amount for me in advance because I didn't want to wait at the their office long time, they didn't prepare till I was there, then I was put to the last person to serve intentionally. Also, you know what, I was told to arrive at the Medical records department at North entrance, but that door was not opened since Covid-19 starts(Do you think the customer service didn't know about that?), instead of that, I had to walk to the main hospital entrance to get in. If you are familiar with this hospital, you will know how long I had to walk from the main entrance to the north entrance's Medical Records department!!!!!!!

The gastro department in NCH Hospital on the 4th floor, Dr. Parsons office appears to be too busy. They only see patients on Wednesdays so it is hard to get an appointment and if you do, it may not be with the doctor. You'll probably get a NP. Anyhow, Dr. Parsons did an Endoscopy and I saw him for less than 30 seconds after. I was supposed to have a follow up visit with him but was told he had no appointment for over a month so I had to see a NP who appeared to be very intelligent. I'm not sure if I will go back because my health issues still exist even after he did an Endoscopy. Now not sure what is wrong with me.

I have been a patient of Dr Stephanie Bartels for well over 10 yrs. I'm not a frequent flyer- only ever in there if I'm really acutely sick or for yearly physical. This week I have had an acute problem that ultimately resulted in me seeing a surgeon at the Surgery Center. The practice has care for walking and I got to see Dr Elbaum, who was great. MY long-time primary care physician, Dr Stephanie Bartels was much too busy to see me when I called and refused to fit me in! She sent me a note saying "...tell patient I'm too busy because I'm going on vacation". First off, I am not patient. I have a name. I was livid- and in pain. And I don't care that she's already checked out mentally because she's going on vacation! This matter ultimately escalated to the office manager who found me another doctor- but I'm still livid. Dr Stephanie Bartels does not care about her patients. She has been "dialing it in" for the past couple of years now. She is not thorough and wasn't at all interested that I have an elevated lab result. DO NOT GO SEE THIS WOMAN. She quit being a doctor long ago and is just waiting it out until retirement in a year or so.

I called for a physical (mid-July) and the first chance to get in in Oct 31. And I'm a current patient. Funny how the experts say preventative is the best way to handle health issues, but getting preventative help is almost impossible in a timely manner. I didn't think I would get in quickly, but more than 3 months? It's not like you get the best care in the world. If the past is any indication, I'll get a cursory look and maybe 5 min with a doctor. If you are looking for a provider, avoid this place.

This refers to the girls working in the lab Very unprofessional. 2nd time I've been here and both times were bad. I came to get my 1 yr olds blood drawn. We came straight from the doctors office per her request. I am greeted with "oh we are standing now?" No hello, no good afternoon, just a sarcastic unnecessary comment. She continues on by complaining that my kid Is 1 and she has to draw from his arm. Lovely start. We go into the room and after much fumbling around, complaining about "him not staying still", dropping stuff, and finally making her trainee try to find the vain (after she blatantly said she didn't want to) they can't put the needle in the right spot. Now we are left w a kid who's had a tough day of shots already with 2 more bandaids on either arm and absolutely no progress. The girls attitude were unprofessional from beginning to end. That's fine if I'm going to get a haircut but this is medical blood work! Come on! This girl needs a major attitude adjustment for sure. And just a hint - when a baby (or even adult) is getting blood drawn it can be a result of some scary stuff to be testing for. Be a little kinder. Have some compassion.
