DO NOT US THIS SERVICE. The techs seem innocent enough, however, when I brought my 2021 HP laptop in for a minor BIOS update, they quoted me more than the cost of the computer. The kid tried to tell me it needed an expensive hard drive and approx $300 to install it. I ordered one online for $14.00 and repaired it myself. The kid also tried to tell me the computer was now worthless junk and offered to "scrap it" for me.

They take all day to get your 1 hour pickup order ready.
and while you wait at the store for them to fumble around to finally have the app tell you it’s out of stock…
Ask for a manager. They won’t respond

Worst experience. I purchased a computer at Best buy and paid $180 extra for the protection plan which included data transfer and setup of my new computer. First they double booked my appointment for pickup so the employee told me I needed to reschedule. When I returned the next day a different employee told me that my outlook was corrupted so the data did not transfer. I accepted that bad news. When we went to my original computer, all the outlook data was gone and my other configuration settings changed. After looking at it, he told me I needed to call Microsoft to fix this and said that geek squad would not help with this. Now my original computer which worked fine before, now has valuable data that is lost . After the fact I was told that this sometimes happens with outlook.

Purchased a Seagate 2TB Expansion card at this location as a new, never opened inventory item. Once I arrived home and opened the item, I noticed that the expansion card case was split open. Someone had pried it open and swapped the 2TB card with a 1TB card and reassembled the expansion card poorly. The serial number on the expansion card did not match the serial number on the box. Someone purchased this item before me, tampered with it, returned it and this item was restocked on the shelf. I made an exchange with no issue but they did not have other replacement units in stock. I requested to have the nearest store hold a unit for me so I could make a stop on my way home. I arrived at the Kildeer store where I was expecting an item on hold only to he told that they do not have any units in stock. What a mess. Best Buy has serious quality control and customer service issues.

I stopped by today with an issue with my Sony camera that wasn't working correctly and the employee was nice enough to take his time out to show me what wasn't working correctly and way to work around it. This in effect, saved me money and added knowledge to my situation. I appreciate the honestly here!
