Had no problem taking 15plus bags of clothes and household items to sell at their for profit company but when it came to the small desk and stool refused the donation. Had I known I would’ve happily brought all the items to a different thrift store that actually works with non profit organizations like the one that ryhmes with gavers

I would give this a 5 star but when I bought some video games one of them came with mold but I got sealed game for 7 bucks and now I got a game with no case

Another Greedwill fail. Why are they charging $25 for a filthy VCR that can’t be tested in store or returned if not working? Either reasonably price electronics with no returns or charge your ridiculously high prices but accept returns. This is getting out of hand.

Since the change in management, this store has improved significantly. It is now noticeably cleaner, more organized, and better managed. The staff is attentive and professional, and the overall atmosphere is much more welcoming. It’s truly a pleasant experience to shop here now. You can see that customer satisfaction is a clear priority. Keep up the great work!

I found some good things here & was there longer than I usually spend in a Goodwill.
This location had an assortment of good men's clothes & full shelves of nice hardlines stuff.
What really sets this Goodwill Apart from others is Sam's enthusiasm at the register. Excellent customer service & sociable individual.

To respond to the response: I am a big proponent of Goodwill's mission. I don't think I go more than a week without stopping by a Goodwill store, and I buy something more often than not. I'm standing by my original post that the prices are nuts at this location specifically. There are many Goodwill stores to compare to this particular location. The pricing is not comparable to other Goodwill stores.
The prices here are bananas. I just looked at a lidded Pyrex dish for $14.99! I think that’s more than new! I go to Goodwill stores almost every week, and the prices here do not line up with other Goodwill stores. Northbrook is better.

For the low low price of $4.99, you can be the proud owner of an empty diet coke can with googly eyes and two double A batteries attached to it!
FYI, don't even THINK about getting closer than 6 feet away from the "high value items" (trash) they keep behind the counter, or else a barrage of grandma's will scream at you like you're robbing Fort Knox. Bad eyesight? Sucks!
If they see any decently popular brand, no matter how beat up and diseased the item is, they will upcharge to prices higher than MSRP and guard it with their life.
Pathetic.

Very few childrens items and not much to chose from in any other department. My least fav store but you can find some cute stuff once in a while. Despite of people complaining about the selection the parking lot is always full. I found adorable overalls for my little one one time so i gave it an extra star. Please try to get more stuff and you get the items donated for free stop gouging the prices. You seem to have forgotten your purpuse.

WOW! Really Goodwill? Couldn't be sold at garage sale for $6. Goodwill wants you to pay $12.99! You do this all the time. I ask that shoppers call you out!

This is one of my favorite Goodwills in the area. It's very well maintained and organized, the staff is friendly and I nearly always walk out with a great find. They typically have some nicer quality women's clothing options and they have a great selection of household items.
