I went in at 7:33pm 9/24
Martha was going to cut my 5 year olds hair. Her other associate and Martha had money all over the counter and did not welcome us in fact they looked annoyed we decided to stop in and give business. They were ready to close but online it said 8pm was the closing time. They had Leo sit on a chair and asked to pay ahead of time which has never happened to us before. When doing a service pay is usually always towards the END not when service hasn’t even begun. My son had gel on his hair earlier from school and my son kept saying it hurt when she comb but proceeded to do so at that point we felt very uncomfortable and decided to stop the hair cut. I mentioned if she can wet his hair lightly and she refused said it was going to take longer and obviously they didn’t want to stay longer to accommodate us. Martha then proceeded to start arguing saying we were making her uncomfortable and mentioned this was my fault because I need to prepare and wash my sons head before I want a hair cut that it was very poorly planned on my part. As someone who is busy on a WEEK DAY running errands I figured the hair stylist would accommodate and figure a solution since they CHOOSE to be in this profession making THEM the professionals. Martha mentioned she will no longer be serving us. She also mentioned that even if it kept hurting my son, brushing through HARD PARTS OF GEL she would of kept doing it until she was done which is concerning to have someone like part of the team. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. We ended up driving only 7min away to a different salon who took great care of us and had no problem treating my sons hair with care. The place is called Hair Cuttery Color & Haircuts - Mount Prospect only 7min away would definitely recommend!

Says they are open till 8p. But I go in 24 mins before close (doors still unlocked) and get told they are closing. Guess that’s why the app wouldn’t take a check in. I have frequented this location for a long time. But no more. Way to treat your customers. And worse the two stylists are still lounging around in there waiting to disappoint more customers who try to get in before closing. And I said it once but will say it again I’ll never go into this location again. Congrats on losing a fairly regular customer.

I recently went to great clips as a reoccoring customer with my mom and brother. We all got different stylists, and very different quality wihh the results. I got a very good stylist and exactly what I wanted, and my mother got the same thing. Just what she asked for. All three stars are for them. But I wish there were negative stars for my brother's experience. He wanted 1/3 of an inch off for a health trim in the back and to move his part so that the hair grew across his head in a neat wave. But the stylist didn't seem to know what she was doing at all. He got at least an entire inch off, a messy, almost zig zag part, choppy, messy trims, and a horrible experience from a rude newbie who thought she was too good for my brother. Once my brother saw the results and showed thar he didn't like it, she snubbed him and walked off muttering something we couldn't hear. We will specifically look for this woman before either of us gets our hair cut again. Wish we had looked at her name tag.
Requested style: My brother wanted a health trim in the back and neat part. He got the equivalent of his hair cut with a chain saw.
Stylist: We never saw the name tag, but she was a tall, white blonde woman with an arrogant voice and nature.

Worst haircuts, I was visiting this place for 6 months, doing mine and my son haircut. And will never come back to any of great clips locations. Low price doesnt mean low skill, but here it is. Visit great clips if you just need to remove some hair and get random result.

Walk-in customers are called without any line and randomly. Dont waste your time if you are just looking for a quick haircut

Martha in Arlington Heights not only gives a great hair cut, but she's a pleasure to talk to while she's getting it done. She makes you feel like your friend or relative is cutting your hair and you can tell she takes great pride in her work.

You get what you paid for. Friendly staff in a fairly clean shop. I'm sorry to say that I honestly had the worst haircut I've ever had. For $20, I expect a better haircut. I try to support our local businesses whenever possible. Once is one too many for this particular establishment
