Always loved Jewels. Their prices are to be desired.. But still a good store for good food.

This store has the worst Customer service I have ever witnessed in a grocery store. So often, sale items are out of stock and one has to prove to customer service that the "just for you" is clipped on your phone before they will issue a raincheck. Honestly, the Jewel on Euclid is much more "customer friendly" and accommodating. Euclid will allow substitutions for out of stock sale items where the Rand store, absolutely not. Make a second trip. I don't think so!

Just got back from the store, I felt bad for the the front end manager. She is stuffed in the front corner away from the checkers, this is a really POOR plan. If the managers station was by where the ice machine is it would help run the front more efficiently. Please have someone design a better front end.

Nice store, but if you're looking for the Stoffer's frozen meals that are on sale or a frozen pizza, look elsewhere. The freezers are barren. Great employees here, and the store is always spotless. Inventory/product availability seems to be an ongoing issue here, however.

Second time coming here and not buying alcohol because nobody ever shows up when the cashier is under 21 excuse that I'm given is that everybody is busy. That's not an acceptable excuse hire more people if you can't service your customers in a timely manner. Well not ever come back here.Update: I've changed this to four stars because someone reached out to me shortly after I posted my review to offer to speak with me about it and I appreciate that and would come back now and give it another try.

What's up with the visible mold all over strawberries you're selling ? That's pretty disappointing. It's not like it was 1 container, it was pretty much all of them .(sat, June 24 2023 )

The store is getting some remodeling done right now (writing this 5/23/2023) and some sections are being shifted around as work progresses. Looks like they're doing the hard part first in replacing all of the flooring with a wood-look luxury vinyl plank, rather than the 12" x 12" standard tiles currently in place. They started on the Osco side for the floor work and are also doing some other construction in the front end area too. Looks like the customer restrooms by the service desk are being gutted and expanded. The self checkout stations have been moved from the side closest to the liquor aisles to the other side of the front end and closer to the Chef's Kitchen. I'm thinking this is just a temporary relocation until the flooring and whatever other work is done and then they'll move back to where they were. The only reason I'm thinking temporary is because all of the electric and data wiring, as well as the general placement of each terminal and the surrounding area, are not at all up to the standard the average person would expect it all to look like. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product when all the work is finally complete! In the interim most things are in the general area of where you would usually find them but, because of all the shifting of shelving to accommodate the flooring replacement, you might have to really look around to find what you were looking for.

I enjoy shopping at this store, my only issue is with the deli department. They never seem to want to help me. Even when there's no line, 3 employees working behind the counter, and Still no service. I understand things need to get done, but at least take a second say hello it will be a few minutes. I just get ignored.

Walmart has added a huge selection of gluten-free products and doing well. I can't understand why the Ceo of Jewell is not paying attention to the market and what the customer's needs are!! Jewell needs to pay attention to what the customers are buying, the market and be more competitive with with sale prices. I shop at Tony's for my meat, example, Jewell wants $12 _to $15 dollars for a Tbone steak that I buy at Tony 's for $6.00. It goes on and on with much higher prices at Jewell vs the competition!!! It doesn't take very long at all to loose a big market share, get with it Jewell.

Shout out to Mary in the bakery who saved my son's birthday party! Ok, maybe that's a little too dramatic. Lol. Another bakery lost our cupcake order and Mary was able to accommodate a last minute order. The cupcakes very cute and super yummy! We will definitely be ordering from their bakery again :)

This is an old Jewel, and it's being remodeled so it's a *mess*. The employees are generally exhausted looking and trying to avoid customers as much as possible., just like every grocery store. There is a very happy guy outside in the plant department Michael who assertively greets me whenever I go, I don't know what they're feeding or paying him but I wish they'd pass it around. He was helpful and friendl, and I would have left for another store if it weren't for that. I asked at the deli for fried chicken and a short middle aged woman without a name tag was not very nice nor very communicative. I needed something for a family celebration in the bakery department and short blonde Julie should have just asked me to leave instead of helping me find a cake. So unnecessarily rude. Got a very dirty look from a short thick blonde with curly hair who was doing something with a cart and a DUG logo on the back. Isabella in floral was very kind but didn't have what I wanted, suggested I look outside so I went back and Michael found a good replacement for me and bolstered my confidence that my gift was correct. Went through Taylor's checkout lane and she was nice, friendly and efficient. Overall it's. mixed bag; messy store, lots of upheaval, a few good people and a few people who shouldn't be there.

Don't shop here much but needed some things and it was on the way. Place used to be better before all the buy outs of larger grocery chains. The one employee I talked to Kamie was incredible
