Kay's Animal Shelter is a small, local facility dedicated to the care and adoption of animals. Many visitors have shared positive experiences, highlighting their satisfaction with the supportive and kind staff. Several adopters have successfully brought home healthy pets, including dogs and cats that come with initial vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and even a vet visit. Over the years, pets adopted from Kay's have lived long and happy lives, often bringing joy to families.
The shelter provides an important service by giving animals a second chance at finding loving homes. They also sell pet supplies, with proceeds supporting the care of the animals. However, some reviews mention concerns about the shelter's cleanliness and limited animal availability, noting that appointments are required for visits. Despite these criticisms, many adopters recommend Kay's for its compassionate treatment of animals and emphasize the importance of adopting rather than shopping for pets.
Overall, Kay's Animal Shelter is praised for its commitment to animal welfare and community support, making it a notable option for those looking to adopt a new furry friend.
Very relaxed nice experience, everyone was helpful. This is our second time adopting from Kay's. Our first time was 1985, I would highly recommend that you look to Kay's first.

Five stars! Professional, caring, and easy to work with. We adopted Milo and he’s already settled in and 'spoiling' us with cuddles. A great place to adopt a pet!
