If you’re considering ordering cabinets from Lowe's, please take a moment to read my experience carefully; it might save you thousands of dollars and prevent your dream kitchen from remaining just that—a dream. In October 2024, I placed an order for my kitchen cabinets at Lowe's in Arlington Heights through a sales representative named Cathy for 18K. We had explored various cabinet stores and ultimately chose Lowe's because of its reputable brand name, even though other stores offered quotes that were $4,000 less. I thought that dealing with a large company would offer some security in case anything went wrong, but that turned out to be a misconception.
Before finalizing my order, I expressed to my sales rep that I wanted Lowe's installer to handle the installation. However, I was advised against that due to the lengthy installation timeline of over six months. Consequently, I opted to hire my own installer. After placing my order, I received the cabinets in two separate deliveries: one on November 16th and another on November 22nd. My installer began the installation on November 27th, just before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, he discovered that more than half of the cabinets were misaligned, had paint chips, and the doors did not close properly—completely unacceptable after spending so much on my dream kitchen.
On November 29th, I visited the store and showed my sales rep the pictures of the damaged cabinets. She kindly agreed to reorder all the damaged items but informed me that I would need to pay for the replacements upfront. She assured me that I would be reimbursed once the damaged cabinets were picked up, and she promised to discuss my lost installation costs with her manager.
On December 5th, we emailed the loss manager, but he never responded. In the first week of January, I escalated the issue to the CEO's office at Lowe's. They investigated and concluded that I hadn’t reported the damages within seven days of purchase. I countered with proof that I had visited the store to reorder the cabinets on the sixth day. Unfortunately, their resolution remained unchanged: they refused to cover my reinstalling and uninstalling costs for the damaged cabinets. As a result, I ended up paying for someone else’s mistake, losing thousands of dollars in the process and keeping the damage cabinet in our house because Lowe's refuses to return the damage cabinet delivered to us.
I refuse to be the last victim of this scam. Lowe's does not manufacture the cabinets; they source them from vendors and prioritize their profits over customer service. I spent a significant amount of money on a defective installation, and the final result is still far from perfect—doors misaligned, numerous chips, and overall poor quality.
To anyone reading this, I strongly advise against ordering cabinets from Lowe's. Their customer service is severely lacking, and even reaching out to the CEO's office yielded no resolution. They simply denied my claim regarding the damaged cabinets. When I requested them to pick up the faulty items, their response was that they wouldn't be doing so, meaning I would lose even more money. Please reconsider your decision before it's too late.
Update: I sow the reply from Lowe's reginal office and called.they simply said in their system the damage items are replaced and they don't have no idea about the refund and looks the items was ordered long time ago.i ask them we open a claim with the order with in 7 Day the cabinets delivered.they said they didn't know anything....my advice Your hardworking money,use it wisely for buying quality products..... Don't work for other....

I purchased a Google Nest thermostat and after installation, I noted that some important features of the thermostat were missing. I called Google to find out why could not add this thermostat, I found out that it does not have this capability.
According to Lowe’s website thermostat have a Z wave feature and some others.
I used a comed coupon and when I brought it back on February 1 to this store, I discussed it with the front desk supervisor, who stated “Why don't you call Google and ask the reason they provided Lowe’s faulty information”. She also offered to refund about 27$ instead of offering any other options.
I ordered a different model from the amz and not coming back to this store, where such talented and gifted supervisors work. Neither would I recommend my friends and relatives visit this store.
75$ comedy coupon- Lowes kept it.
As for the management of the store- the reason why people purchase online instead of going to the store is a technique to lure buyers to the store by fraudulent advertising such as mentioned above.

So far I’ve been accused of stealing. Hassled by customer service for returning things. Walked around endlessly looking for help that wasn’t there. The only thing that is consistent is the person at the checkout doors telling you to have a good day. I don’t need someone to talk to me after I’m ready to leave. I need someone to talk to me after I come in.

Even in the middle of summer, I can always find a hanging basket or flower every time I go. There are also clearance flowers that are in great shape.

The staff was able to assist me when the doors opened at 6 a.m. to pick up and help me load the order on the back of my vehicle.

We bought 6 window shades.
I measured one wrong. We went back and the sales woman Ann Hontos took care of my mistake in a very professional and friendly manner. She was also very helpful on the initial order.
She is a definite asset to the Lowe’s team.
We got the shades in a timely fashion and they all fit perfectly thanks to Ms. Hontos.
