I couldn’t be happier with the work this roofing company did. From the first call to the final cleanup, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The team was punctual, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the entire process so I felt confident every step of the way. The quality of their work is outstanding, and they left my property spotless when the job was done. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and top-quality roofing services.

Overall, the finished basement turned out great, and the work was of good quality. The startup process was easy and straightforward, which we appreciated. They offer evening availability during the planning process, which is helpful. For the first appointment, have ideas and pictures ready of what you want done—this makes the process smoother and helps them understand your vision. Be aware that they will push for you to sign an agreement at the end of this meeting. The person we worked with was professional and clearly there to do his job, which we understood. Also, if you elect to do your own painting of walls and trim, they do not cover nails on trim. If you elect to do your own floors, they do not install shoe trim on the bottom rim. We were not told that during the first appointment, but they put it in the plans, and we didn’t see the small print.
However, expect additional costs beyond the initial total. We had to purchase all bathroom fixtures, including shower walls. During the appointment where we reviewed plans, I showed him pictures from the first meeting, and he indicated there would be extra costs for what I wanted. After all was said and done, the cost was an additional $6k on top of the already six-figure job we signed. This is just good information for future customers to have, not a complaint. When reviewing your plans and creating a customer buy/to-do list, triple-check everything. Any additions or changes made after a certain date will incur an extra charge.
The project started in early July, and we were told it would be complete by October—though obviously that’s an estimate. It actually finished in December, but only after several follow-ups. The crews who did the actual work were professional and did good work. However, be sure to double-check completed work yourself, as the project manager did not consistently catch issues.
That said, the process came with more headaches than expected. There were communication issues and several items that still needed follow-up or correction, which added stress and took extra time to resolve. We experienced frequent lapses in communication and often had to do constant follow-ups after receiving no response from the project manager. If those details had been handled more smoothly, this would have been a much better experience. The end result of our basement is nice, and overall, the quality of the work was good. However, the process itself came with more frustration than we expected, especially for a company that advertises it specializes exclusively in basements.
After spending six figures on our basement, we expected a much smoother, less stressful experience with stronger oversight and better communication. While the finished space turned out well, the process required more involvement and persistence from us than it should have. I’m happy with the end result, but be prepared to stay involved and advocate for yourself along the way.
I did send a message to the company when my frustrations reached a point where I just wanted the project wrapped up. They reached out immediately, listened to my concerns, and addressed them. That was much appreciated. Attached are finished pictures (the floor was not done by Matrix).

We had a wonderful experience with Diego. He went over all the details and showed us a drawing of what we requested. He was courteous and thorough and answered all of our questions. Although we did not agree to a project purchase at this time because the price was much more than we had budgeted. Thanks again to Diego. (Four (4) stars because of the price.)

I had Matrix basements out for a quote for my basement. The salesman was so offputting trying to pull the wool over my eyes. He acted as if I knew nothing about basements and when I questioned the prices was immediately defensive. The prices were astronomical and so absurd for what I was asking. And then when I said I wasnt interested, he continued on with the sales pitch and wouldn't kindly accept a no from me. I wouldnt go with them ever. They trick you into thinking its a good deal, and question any other contractor. Beware of this company. Terrible experience

This one star is only because I have to give it something this was the worst sales guy came to my house was here from 6PM till 9PM he proceeded yo give me an estimate for 152k dollars I laughed thought he was just kidding but no he was just stone cold yea thats the price. Keep in mind I have already had a contractor come by and quote me out for 47k would never trust these guys after getting a quote for over 3x I had gotten before they think they can take advantage of you because they do financing you guys are not the only company in town that does financing. You are clowns and need to be treated as clowns

We recently completed a basement remodel with Matrix Basements, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The project began at the end of September 2025 and was completed right on schedule during the first week of December 2025, with no surprises along the way. Our project manager, Jim, was outstanding—extremely attentive, responsive, and always quick to address any questions or concerns throughout the process. His communication was clear and consistent, which made the entire project feel well-managed and stress-free.
Every contractor who worked on the project was professional, courteous, and highly detail-oriented. They took great care in their workmanship and made sure the construction space was cleaned on a daily basis, which we truly appreciated. Matrix Basements also uses the Buildertrend app, which was a fantastic tool. It allowed us to easily see scheduled deliveries and trades, helping us plan our day and stay informed at every stage of the project. Overall, this was a smooth, organized, and transparent remodeling experience, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Matrix did an awesome job! Everyone we worked was so professional and very personable. Everyone from Blake and Pete, who we met initially with during the estimating and planning process to Mauricio, who was the project manager, was great. They set clear expectations and kept an open line of communication. We had one hiccup during the permit process because of the village, but we worked through that with Matrix and got it resolved. The quality of work and the crews (especially Angel and Brian) that came out were all top notch. I highly recommend Matrix if you’re looking to get your basement finished.

Matrix and their contractors where efficient and professional throughout the entire process. Our project manager Thomas Watcher was extremely helpful as we navigated both expected and unexpected challenges. All aspects of the project went smoothly thanks to his consistent and intentional engagement with the project. Thomas came to us with solutions rather than problems every time.
Not only is the finished product of the highest quality it looks great! Most impressive of all was the team's ability to complete the project promptly and within the originally proposed schedule.

Matrix Basement Solutions did an outstanding job finishing our basement! From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, organized, and professional. Scheduling was always on time, and we truly appreciated the clear communication throughout the project.
Our project manager, Ben Gibbons, was awesome—knowledgeable, attentive, and always willing to answer questions. He made sure every detail was handled and kept the project running seamlessly. The subcontractors were also fantastic. Their workmanship was excellent, they were respectful of our home, and they completed everything with great care.

After having done multiple projects and never using the same contractor twice, I opted to hire a company for my basement. After this experience, I wish Matrix did more than just basements. This group is incredible. From the first meeting until job completion there was constant communication, and if they fell behind, I knew in advance and they made the time up! I've never experienced competency and commitment like this before in dealing with construction crews or contractors. I cannot recommend Matrix high enough. The value is amazing. Their crew is excellent, professional, and courteous. My basement looks outstanding, and they went above and beyond in every way. Attention to detail is unmatched by Matrix, and you'll be very satisfied if you choose to hire this company.

Our basement project with matrix wrapped up the day before thanksgiving, experience was amazing we couldn’t be more happier from start to finish (a few issues) but huge shout out to our project manager Mauricio Romero and his team made sure it was well taking care off. Also thank you matrix for making beautiful basement. Our home is not big so adding a new living space is a plus. Here’s the before and after photos.
