Love the Ramen noodles from here, it's excellent! A little pricey but it's a treat. You definitely have to try it, go early the line gets long fast.

This is a great place to get some Asian groceries- specifically Japanese groceries. The best thing is that they also have a food court attached as well as some other fun little stores to browse and buy stuff. They also have an area with claw machines to try and win stuff. Everyone on staff is really nice and the area is kept really clean.

This place is amazing, everything about it is amazing. They have the best sushi I have ever tasted. We always go for the crab rolls, the tuna rolls and the Philadelphia rolls. They are very good. You find anything you want from Japan. From seafood, to yakitori, drinks and more. This place also has a food court with my Japanese restaurants and one Korean restaurant. We tried the ramen restaurant and it was super delicious. Top 3 ramen I've ever tasted. Also don't forget to try the little bakery they have. Their melon pans are to die for. Everyone there is very friendly. Costumer service is by far the best service I've experienced in a long time. You definitely feel that you're in Japan when visiting this market.

What a fun first adventure here! Loved going to Kinokuniya and getting some fun Japanese pens and Studio Ghibli goodies. We also really enjoyed our Tokyo Shokudo dinner. We didn't realize so many of the food places closed well before the rest of the store--so check hours! Great selection of foods, snacks, and drinks. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Chicago!

Love this place! The staff are nice and efficient. It is clean. Bummer they're out of stuff sometimes but there are so many options! We love to shop for some hotpot items, get some boba and walk around the different vendors. The food court can get busy, however, there are always workers making sure the area is clean. I love buying fresh fish for homemade poke bowls and my kids love trying new candy and sweets.

Mitsuwa in Arlington Heights is a curious chameleon, offering a tantalizing mix of culinary hits and misses. For foodies seeking an authentic Japanese experience, it's a vibrant mosaic waiting to be explored. The bustling food court pulsates with an infectious energy. Ramen slurps harmonize with sizzling teppanyaki, creating a symphony of culinary excitement. Vendors tempt you with an array of tempting options, from crispy gyoza to fluffy taiyaki cones. While the overall experience is a delight, some dishes struggle to rise above the comfort food zone. Ramen lacks the nuanced depth I crave, and sushi could benefit from a touch more finesse. Still, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is undeniably fun.But step beyond the food court, and Mitsuwa reveals its true magic. The grocery area, though compact, is a treasure trove of hard-to-find Japanese delights. From delicate mochi to exotic yuzu kosho paste, every shelf whispers with culinary possibilities. For adventurous cooks, it's a playground of umami-infused surprises, like pickled shimeji mushrooms or fragrant shichimi togarashi spice blends. Here, Mitsuwa shines, offering a curated selection that sets it apart from conventional supermarkets. Is Mitsuwa a culinary revelation? Not quite. But it's a charmingly imperfect gem, where fun and convenience intersect with authentic Japanese ingredients. So, if you're craving a taste of Japan, complete with a lively food court soundtrack, Mitsuwa offers a unique and worthwhile experience. Just remember, the true treasures lie beyond the surface, nestled amongst the aisles of culinary curiosities.Bonus Tip: Don't miss the dazzling selection of Japanese kitchenware and tableware! They're perfect for taking a piece of Mitsuwa's magic home.

5 stars for the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights. This is an amazing Asian marketplace and grocery store and food court inside. You can find a ton of unique grocery items inside that you don't see in a lot of other grocery stores. It's a massive market so make sure you have time to look around at everything. It's definitely worth a visit for a unique experience.

I cant believe I went this long without ever visiting this place. There's so many things to look at from groceries to desserts to sitting and eating. So busy in here lots going on but regardless you'll have a great time. There's also a book store in here! Workers are kind and provide great service. Nice to see families hang out here and enjoy the evening. A good spot!!

This place was a really good time. They had a large market to buy food and other Japanese items. They also had a food court with about 6-8 stalls that sold hot food. There was also a fun book store that sold stationary and a Japanese bakery in this cluster of shops. A pro tip is to buy some packaged food from the market (similar to in Japan) and heat it up at the microwave outside of the checkout location. Would highly recommend coming with friends and trying a few different things.
