The Buddy Foundation is so wonderful! I volunteer there and everyone who is there is a volunteer. The only people that get paid are the veterinarians. They put all their resources into saving dogs and cats from all over they spare no expense to save an animal’s life. The people there are so dedicated.

I had a great experience volunteering with the Buddy Foundation. They do amazing work caring for their dogs and cats and helping them to find the right fur-ever homes. The level of care and commitment by this all volunteer-run organization is amazing; would highly recommend to anyone looking to adopt a new four-legged family member!

Most unpleasant experience i ever had at a shelter. Sandy was very negative and dismissive. I liked 2 different cats and she had all kinds of excuses why they weren't adoptable. I hsve adopted from Buddy twice before with no problems. Once 9 years ago and my daughter still has the cat. The last time was 5 years ago I adopted an elderly cat and she passed this summer at sge 17. The previous times was a very positive experience, this time not so. I do not know what has happened there. It seems that they don't want to give homes to these precious cats. Will not recommend them again. Sad.

This is probably the nicest way I can say this.
Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with this place recently.
The lady who claimed to be the director of this place was extremely rude, insensitive and disrespectful. My uncle adopted one of our kitties last year. Due to his 5 year-old daughter’s asthma attacks, the family decided to find a new home for their kitty but could not find it on their own. They brought the kitty to Buddy Foundation, thinking that this was a safe, reputable, no-kill animal shelter that helps animals find new homes. The lady quickly had them sign a form and asked for a donation. Then she took the kitty away without them saying a goodbye. She did not explained to them the consequences of signing the document, including that they will never be able to retrieve the kitty back. After returning home, my uncle and family regretted their decision and returned to the shelter next day. The lady started yelling at him told that the kitty was hers and if “God comes” she will not give the kitty back to any of the family members. Next day, I went to the shelter and told them that we wanted the kitty back. She told me that nobody from our family can adopt a pet from the shelter ever. We did not cause any trouble and simply asked what the procedure is. But she will literally threat and scream at you and then walk away with a cold smile like she’s proud of what she accomplished. I had an absolute breakdown, sobbing after being told the kitty will not be given to me, I did not yell or resist, I just walked away in tears and the old lady acted like she was righteous after this.
I thought this place was a shelter for animals who needed a loving home. She treats people as they abuse or neglect their pets. This kitty was in a loving home and we all wanted her back. There are many animals sitting in shelters and why is it that when someone is to adopt a pet, they are thrown through all these outrageous and unrealistic hoops and procedures.
This person just looks at you and doesn’t care about what circumstances you have and treats you like a criminal. She seems to be mentally unstable and not fit to run a shelter for animals. She wants to go on a power trip and threatens to call the police on you.
I see that my experience is consistent with the various other people who’ve endured this place, whether it’s intensionally ignoring messages and lying about pets being given away or not when constantly asked about them, or just being extremely belligerent, it’s all the same story. I am just hard broken and don’t know what to do. We have multiple cats in our home and we deeply care about them. Personally, I would never consider surrendering my pets to a shelter but sometimes people make choices because of the circumstances but then they regret it. I hope this places will be run by volunteers and staff who truly have empathy for both animals and people who are trying to provide loving homes.

The Buddy Foundation is a great organization. Not only did we get a great dog, we met some wonderful volunteers that helped us with the match, gave great advise and followed up to see how it is going. If you are looking to adopt a dog or cat, they are experts.

Wanted to update you on Bailey we adopted on March 2022. She is the most wonderful dog you could ever ask for! So good in fact, that we registered her to be a therapy dog.
She went thru two courses and passed with flying colors. She will bring comfort not just to us but for many more. I wanted to thank you for all you do in saving our precious animals. And, to let you know hopefully every dog/cat adopted thru you gets the love our Bailey gets. I don't know her early life but she had a lot of fears she had to over come. She was so sad in the beginning with all the changes in her life but now she's a princess very spoiled and sleeps with us every night. I'm so thankful we were the lucky ones to adopt her.
Keep up the great work you do and keep saving our pets. I must add the complaints about communication. I think it’s unfair to give 1 stars because of communication. I will agree it was difficult communicating back and forth with Lynn. I hope they work on that because it’s the one complaint most people have quoted. It did not deter me and all these people are volunteers so thank them! They do it out of love with no need for recognition. I will still go through this foundation to adopt because they truly love animals and want to make sure they are going to good people who will care for them.

One of seven shelters I contacted to take in a cat. No return contact to say yes or no. One of five shelters with no response. At least call back so we can move on. If your full ,let us know. Common courtesy.

The Buddy foundation is a wonderful organization that deeply cares about the well being of all animals. They try their best to match the dogs and cats to their fur-ever family to insure the best outcome.
They are a no kill shelter that will do anything they can to preserve the health of any animal they take in.
Ran by all volunteers who have HUGE hearts, giving their time and love to make the animals feel comfortable, loved and at home.
I adopted my youngest pups Opey and Lola from Buddy and I am so happy that they are a part of my family.
Thank you Buddy for all you do!!
