Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behavior
Dear Pharmacy Management,
I am writing to formally report repeated incidents of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior by one of your employees who handles medication dispensing. She is always rude, impolite, and lacks basic compassion when dealing with patients. Every time I have visited the pharmacy, she has spoken harshly and acted without courtesy. She is the woman with black hair, so you can easily identify her.
I truly believe that such behavior is unacceptable, especially in a pharmacy environment where patients expect kindness, patience, and respect. Many other customers have also expressed similar concerns about this same employee.
On a positive note, I would like to commend Pharmacist Farah, who was working her very first day at this pharmacy. She was extremely polite, professional, and kind. Despite being new, she handled everything with respect, care, and genuine empathy. Her attitude and professionalism truly reflect the values that every pharmacy should uphold.
I sincerely hope that management will take this matter seriously and ensure that all patients are treated with dignity and respect in the future.

Terrible customer service. I went there twice and when I approached the cashier I said hi, no response.She gave me the receipt and I said thank you, no response, no you’re welcome or have a nice day, absolutely nothing. This happened to me not once, but twice. She treated me like an air. I usually go to Walgreens in Prospect Heights and customer service there is on top. Your staff needs customer service training. The cashier was an African American woman (I only mention race because I don’t remember her name). Hi or thank you seems obvious, but obviously not for all people.

Don’t shop at this store! The manager is racist, xenophobic!
I’m very sad, embarrassed, angry, and feeling very humiliated.
I’m a basically a weekly customer of the store, my family gets all prescriptions, and quick small orders at the store!
Yesterday I took my mom to the store - she is 75 years old and from Brazil, but come to visit us 2x a year - she doesn’t speak English, but buy her year round make up products, lotions and vitamins every time at Walgreens to bring back to Brazil.
During the time we spent at the store I had a manager following us around and watching us close the entire time, just measuring us with her eye looks, and not offering any help.
When we were done and ready to pay, the cashier asked the manager for help, because she didn’t know how to verify the bill - $100 bill from 2006. The manager came very mad to help, she also didn’t know how to verify the bill and told me the bill didn’t have the water mark! What was wrong because she was looking at the wrong place for it! When I showed her the water mark and the security line on the bill, she screamed at me and my mom saying she wasn’t going to accept my payment! To avoid more humiliation since there was a line and she was screaming at me in front of customers and employees, I made the payment with my debit card and left the store.
I’ll never shop at a Walgreens again! And I’ll try to advise all my neighbors and friends from the neighborhood about what happened.
I’m a very known person in the city, and my family is very respected, what happened to me at the store was by far the biggest humiliation I have ever had in life! I’m 42 years old, I have 3 MBAs in Business management, 2 college degrees, technical degrees, and I speak 4 different languages! The manager of your store wasn’t treating with an unknown person, most of the pharmacy staff knows me, and even some cashiers of the store also know me bacause I’m always shopping there.
I’ll be researching how I can sue the store about what happened. These can be a okay interaction from a store manager to customers spending whatever value!

It truly does suck because I definitely want to give this location, high scores, from the parking lot to the actual structure of the location, it is very welcoming and easy to navigate. Upon entering the beauty selections, especially, are exceptional and more than I anticipated. However, that’s where all the good things stop because the staff is absolutely horrendous. Not only were they having open conversations about their personal relationships, including, somebody having a venereal disease, they also allowed someone who either was off duty or just a patron who was also partaking in the conversation with them to stand over me as I was trying to check out. After 2020 I truly value my space and after dealing with identity theft, it is also imperative to protect my privacy. When I verbalized this very kindly, the lady that the cashier was speaking to stood her ground and mind you they had been speaking the entire time I was in the store, which was around 15 minutes. She was very rude and I anticipated for the cashier to verbalize to her that perhaps she should step over, to my disappointment she never did. It put me in a seriously uncomfortable situation. I really appreciate more than anything that while we’re all humans when we are at work, we carry ourselves with professionalism and concern for all guests. Being a black woman it really did not feel good either seeing as all parties involved were non-black individuals who clearly did not see how dismissive it was when I verbalized my discomfort with the situation. Walgreens must do better with their customer service training.

Advertise pharmacy hours open till 7:15pm on Fridays. In reality, the pharmacy closes for a “break” at 6:45pm and does not reopen after. Poor business structure, just say your pharmacy closes at 6:45pm - the last point where you serve customers.

I needed medicine for my back pain due to a car accident. Waited 25minutes in the drive thru line only to have them close the pharmacy in front of my face. Everyone should have turns to take lunch. No pharmacy should close for a group lunch break!!! Absolutely ridiculous. Closing for lunch at 6:45 and leaving for their home at 9pm is stupid. As if they can’t eat after their shift or relieve one person for a lunch break at a time. Do not rely on this pharmacy if you need medicine because they’ll look at you and close.

Kelly was very helpful, she even let me know I had points to use, she was very welcoming and understood what customer service is, I highly recommend her to be a manager someday, she deserves it, the way she cared for the customers was phenomenal.

Latino girl working pharmacy drive thru at 12:45pm on 12/16/2024 had a serious attitude. I transferred my pharmacy order to Mariano’s and waited and paid for my stuff there. Bad pharmacy tech means no business. And no I won’t be returning to the store either. The Mariano’s people were lovely.

I do not understand some of the bad reviews. I saw the pharmacist Manish taking care of customers almost single handed. Also he administers the best vaccination I ever received. I have zero complaints.
