I've tried to apply 4 or 5 times now but I haven't gotten a email or call back and I have a lot of experience but I keep seeing them hiring more people yet they're all Caucasian and I'm colored so I feel like this store is really racist they hiring manager always gives me and my family dirty looks when we go there

Worst Dollar general I've been to. Can't walk down half of the isles and the employees don't even know how to do a split payment properly. It's ridiculous.

This store always has what I need. The workers are all friendly and helpful. It's my go to for my everyday needs.

The staff is friendly. But corporate keeps the place understaffed at ALL TIMES. So it's constantly out of products. The mandatory self-checkout rarely works so a staff member is always busy fixing it, so lines are super long. I highly recommend you do you shopping before coming to Athens, it'll save you a headache and time. But like I said, the staff is friendly, corporate doesn't care about us. Highly recommend not shopping DG at all.

Jeff is the MAN! Not sure what’s going on or if there are new workers, but the shelves have been stocked the last few times I’ve been in there which is amazing!! Jeff made my experience there today (7/02) awesome! He was so upbeat, cracking jokes and was a huge help with everyone that was in there! I know it probably sucks working on this holidays weekend, but he looked like he was complaining one bit! I wish everyone worked like Jeff does!!!

I will give it negative 1 star, slow and rude cashier , dirty floors, dirty stock, some funny odor in that building, and stock all over the floor, doesn't matter if truck is unloading, having stock on the floor that is unattended is a tripping hazard. Employee's that are standing or sitting around they should put stock up, you can't sell it if it's not up on the shelf.

This is one of their cleanest stores but still a hazard for anybody handicapped. I would be surprised if you could get down half of the aisles there is always product in the floor. This is not just directed towards this store this is directed towards all of their stores

The workers were helpful, courteous and as efficient as usual. I found all I needed and am grateful for not having to go out of town. Bonus, they even have FedEx in there.

Store did not have product in the correct place, then argued with me about it. I was told they can't go through everything to make sure it's in the correct spot, and the price is what it rang up for no matter where it came from.

Store is always out of everything you need, no ibuprofen, no candy, no pudding, no baking stuff, no dog food, or dog treats, no dog shampoo, Find myself driving to greenview or Petersburg instead of even stopping at the DG less than 2 minutes from my house. Not to mention half the product on their shelves are expired and they sell you expired products. Check the dates before purchasing ANY food from this store. (Lunchables, bags of chips, frozen food)
