This Aamco is horrible. I took my car to them in 2018 because my engine was making a ticking sound. Found out the lifters were messed up which I had already knew from a family friend that works on cars. Aamco stated they could repair my engine and get me a warranty. I paid over $3,000. I had to return 1 month later because the car was making the same noise. Also my air was not working. They did not recharge my air because they did not have the right tools. I had to take my car to dodge and have the air recharged because they did not have the correct tools for the dodge charger. They sent me on the run around for 2 months until I called the corporate office and explained what happened and they refunded my money I had to pay out of pocket. I did get a 5yr unlimited Mile warranty on the engin including parts and labor. This is now the 5th year and the engine is making the ticking sound again. I took my car back to them and they told me there was nothing they could do because they did not provide the warranty. They have sent me to a body shop where Aamco purchased the engine and now it is going on 3 months and my car is still not fixed. John and the owner of Aamco have been very rude to me and will not offer any help. If I paid Aamco for the engine why am I doing all the work to get my car repaired from a junk yard where they purchased a engine and did not make sure if something goes wrong that my car would be fixed in a timely manner. I will never go back to this Aamco nor will I recommend them to wipe my shoes off. This is a horrible place and they don't care about the customers. They just want to make money and get you out the door. I am reporting them to the BBB and the shop they bought the engine from because neither company wants to fix my car and my warranty is not up until November. Now I am out of $1652 at dodge dealership because they refused to fix my car that is still under warranty. If I paid Aamco why I am dealing with a third party company. Aamco should be dealing with them to make sure I get my car fixed and they are not doing anything. They took my money is what they did. And now will not back me up on the warranty to get my car fixed.

The transmission went out on our 2007 Buick LaCrosse, so they fixed it up and did it in a reasonable amount of time. Then, as luck would have it, our engine needed to be replaced. We already knew the time was coming based on the sounds it had been making. They came and towed our car to their shop. They found us a new engine and did a complete engine swap. They also replaced it in a very timely manner. We had a broken fog light (which we never even mentioned to them) and they took care of that for us. Their prices were very reasonable, service was excellent and they're very friendly. Finally, a mechanic we can trust! We will be using them for all of our other cars when the time comes. I HIGHLY recommend AAMCO!

spent about 5k trying to get a working transmission that was never really repaired. They tried 3 times. Yes that's 3 rebuilds with the third only lasting a few months. When I brought it back they kept it for two weeks then told me they're not going to fix it because it's been too long from the first time I brought it in. I got a total of about 30,000 miles from all three rebuilds and now I still have a vehicle with a broken transmission. Do I pay another transmission shop to do it right? I wouldn't mind an actual mechanic taking a look to see if the laundry list of parts they charged me for were really replaced. I wrote a negative review before the last failed rebuild and they asked me to change my review. I did because I thought they were finally going to fix it. They kept my truck for two weeks and when I called to see how much longer John said they just finished it. when I drove the truck, it sounded horrible and kicked really hard into second and third gear. I called John and he told me he drove it for week to make sure it was good and I needed to "just drive it" and he practically hung up on me. Apparently he forgot he told me they just finished the repair (or did he drive it for week?). The second time I brought it in John said the transmission fluid was old and black which was not true unless that's what they put in there on the first rebuild. They try to sell you on other repairs that are unrelated so watch your wallet. The canned response from the owner is bogus too. I tried to email him with the details from our dealings and I never received a reply. If you need a headlight or an oil change, maybe this shop will be ok. I wouldn't trust them to fix anything complicated like electrical, engine, or transmission work.

I had my clutch, replaced here, a couple years back. But this review is not about that. I brought my daughters Ford focus in, because it was not driving correctly. They evaluated the car, and told me they could definitely replace the transmission. However, there was a recall on this car through Ford, if your miles were under $150,000, it would be covered in full. They did tell me, It may take up to a year to have this repair done by Ford . This was due to lack of parts.I opted to go through Ford and see what would happen. As it turned out, my daughters car did qualify for that repair at no charge to us. It did get done, it fixed all the problems, and it took less than five months.This is how honest and trustworthy these people are. I would highly recommend them! I had my truck in here a few times over the last few years. I was referred to them by the mechanic I usually use. There were a couple blips along the way, but as you can see by the response below from the owner, and all the good reviews, they really make every effort to make sure you’re satisfied. John and Jay are amazing to work with. They have a great bedside manner. They understand the sting and explain everything. It’s hard for them to know what’s going on inside your transmission without inspection and it’s hard to trust anyone when it comes to expensive repairs. After dealing with these guys, I can tell you that Aamco has done right by me.

John was honest and reasonable price with pricing. It did take few days extra since they only have one mechanic but they got the job done. This would be the second time coming to a AAMCO. John even stayed little after closing which was perfect timing, I was able to get my vehicle.

Customer service here is amazing. Had our vehicle towed here and they got it fit in the schedule and looked at quickly. We ended up deciding not to have it repaired, but the team here provided fair and fast repair options and pricing.

I got quotes from many shops for rebuilding the transmission on my 2003 Honda Pilot. John's price at AAmco came in near the middle to lower half compared to competitors, and his 18-mo/18K mile nationwide warranty was by far the best. That longer warranty, and the fact that it would be honored at shops across the country, is what drove our decision to choose Aamco.Working with John and his colleague Jay was great. Parts are difficult to come by these days, so it took a few extra days, but they communicated with me throughout the repair. The delay caused an overlap with our family vacation, but John and team were very understanding and they stored my vehicle free of charge for over a week until we returned from our trip.The Pilot is running great! Sent my daughters car for service and must say I was AMAZED how helpful, professional and honest John was. He was extremely honest and was focused on finding a solution at the lowest cost possible while providing unquestionable quality work. As for the communication it was better than expected, John called me every step of the way to keep me informed about the diagnostic and completion time which was supper fast.
