A True Star at adidas — Takeyah Deserves a Promotion!
I want to take a moment to recognize Takeyah at the Michigan City adidas store. Her service was absolutely phenomenal. In a time when it’s easy to feel like just another customer, she made me feel heard, valued, and supported.
Takeyah went above and beyond to help resolve a frustrating situation — not only was she patient and kind, but she also followed through in a way that restored my confidence in adidas as a brand. This wasn’t just good service; this was exceptional leadership.
In contrast to some of the poor treatment I experienced at the AURORA location from Josh and Selma (who could truly benefit from training under Takeyah’s example), her grace and professionalism stood out even more. She turned a negative into a positive and showed what true customer care looks like.
This is the kind of employee who builds lifelong loyalty and reflects the very best of the adidas brand. I sincerely hope she is publicly recognized and considered for a promotion — because she absolutely deserves it.

Normally I would rate this store with 3 stars but since they cannot update their open hours which is NOT 8 PM on a Sunday on this lovely March 9th, 2025 for reference. Its not even 7 PM. The most simple thing that can be done is to update your hours for those who don't live nearby or from out of state who just rely on google to see if you are open or not.

Horrible over the phone Customer service. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Asked the lady over the phone if she could see the availability of a shoe in store and she told me to do my own shopping and immediately hung up on me. Can’t believe this is the type of people you have managing your phone calls.

Cool store. Worth checking out their shoe selection. Gave three stars because the staff threw my original shoes in the garbage when I was trying out shoes. They said they assumed someone stole their shoes and left the old pair on the floor, apparently they have a theft problem...I let them know they suggested that I try different pairs and walk around to test the fitting. They apologized, but something was off. Not the most professional staff, but cool products in the store.
