Does not deserve a star. IM NOT DOING THIS BECAUSE OF A BAD EXPERIENCE BUT GENUINELY BELIEVE THAT THIS SHOP IS A RIP OFF. Other towns such as Naperville, Wheaton, Hoffman estates charge hundreds cheaper. Not to mention horrible customer service. Save your money and go else where. Don't ignore the negative reviews. I've done my fair research and have had expert opinions by previous clients to this shop. Conclusion. Save your money. Go somewhere else. Also, I was overly charged for a service... didn't go for it, instead went to a certified dealership that was WAYY cheaper. Did an amazing job that would of cost me an arm and a leg at this place. I get it. It's a business. But come on. Know when to appropriately charge and don't take advantage.

They are far from knowledgeable for supposed mechanics. My friend replaced my alternator but couldn't finish the job, so I went here bc they offered a free tow bc I lived within 5 miles. They told me I would not be charged full price due to them only having put in the last bolt and putting back 4 parts that had to be taken out to get to it. Which was obviously all supplied by me. A few hour job turned into a multiple day job. They called and told me that they didn't know where to put back my pieces (battery, radiator hose, power steering, and fan) and that it's a jigsaw and would have to wait until the next day for their tech. Then proceed to tell me 6 things were off my car when I knew for a fact that was a lie. I called the next day asking about my car and they say the same thing. They haven't even began to work on my car, and wanted me to pay full price and wait another day or two. At that point the man on the phone was talking down to me like I was d*** bc a woman doesn't know about cars and I wrongfully snapped. I felt bad and was going to apologize right away bc even though they're in the wrong I felt bad. Before I could even apologize the man said I was an inconvenience to them and I was the one who was incompetent!! Ive worked in customer service long enough to know even if a customer snaps you do not belittle them. My father is a mechanic and so are many of my friends. I didn't want to bother them due to their schedules and my dad living 10 hours away, that is the only reason I came here. I knew they were trying to upcharge me and lie because I've had multiple people consult me. My boss and a couple of my coworkers have said they've experienced this at this specific store as well as other Meinekes in the area when I discussed the situation with them. The tower who towed me away from this place to another shop told me I was the 4th car recently they've towed away from this shop to another because they never do a correct or safe job. It seems anyone as long as you're a man can be hired here even if you don't know your stuff. Me nor any of my friends or family will be using meineke again!

Wow. Never been so turned off by a place in my life. The guy in front who seemed like the manager was very VERY rude. I walked in and no one greeted me because he was yelling and being very rude to his front desk lady!! I couldn't believe he was speaking to her like that! She was on the verge of tears!! So I said hello and he's like "take care of her". Anyways I thought that was super unprofessional to start. I asked for a simple oil change and he stated he could not do it and I nicely ask why. He said because of policy. I completely understand that and would not want them to risk their business so I said okay thank you and have a good day. He said go where you used to go then!! Like the comment wasn't necessary because I complete understood why after he explained it to me. Just completely rude. I have never met someone like that before trying to run a business and expect to get people in there with the way he treated me and his own employee!!!

I came here because I know they do a lot of work with Catalytic converters and mufflers. My check engine light came on and I was told from an auto parts store that it was a P0420 code so I took it to meineke. They came up with different codes and I was delighted because the repair was going to be a lot less to fix than the catalytic replacement. I feel as I was misled by this shop. After spending over $500 on a emission repair that meineke recommended. I get a call from Keith saying its going to be an additional $2900 because its the P0420 Catalytic code is now the problem! I give most people the benefit of the doubt most of the time, and maybe their reader is different that the other auto shops but I now have my car in a different shop taking care of the problem meineke couldn't do, and I'm out $500

They nearly killed me. I went in for an oil change/tire rotation. One of the guys was trying to sell me new brakes (of course). He gave me an estimate of around $800, so I said no thank you and he got annoyed. Most people don't drop that amount of money without thinking about it for a day or two. Anyway, my car started making a horrible sound for a few days after the appointment. I called them about it and he said "sometimes when we take out your tires, a little bit of dust gets in there. That's all you are hearing. It should get better in a couple days." Well he was wrong. Turns out he didn't even tighten the lug nuts on the driver side tires. Both of them! I'm surprised my tires didn't fly off. If that happened I would definitely be severely injured or dead. I got them fixed right away. 3 months later I get a call from Meineke pushing another oil change on me. "Hello it's been 3 months since your last oil change, so when would you like to book your appointment?" Uh no, I DON'T want an appointment because this happened. I told him the story over the phone and he said he would pass it along to his manager and I would get another phone call in a few days. Well it's been a few months and I still haven't heard back. Don't go here unless you like dying.

Because of their honesty, quality work, and knowledge, I'll be coming back next time my car has a problem. Great service, fast, and honest. Came here for a simple A/C system recharge and they found a couple issues and recommended some solutions; they didn't insist on doing the work or push me into making them do the work. They just gave me an explanation of how to fix it.
