My daughter was in need of a checking account to have her check direct deposited. She opened an account and deposited her first check. They told her it was on "hold" waiting to clear. Second check, same song and dance, third check, same think. After several calls advising her the checks should clear in 3-5 days, she called again and was told she had to come in. She goes in and was told her checks were being held because they felt the checks written on the account were fraudulent. A) SHE DID NOT ORDER CHECKS and B) No one could have told her that sooner? Well, it's been almost three months now and she is no closer to seeing the three checks that were deposited. Now, because of Bank of America's "investigation", she is not able to get a checking account at another bank. What that hell is going on here? Clearly they are aware, they know she didn't order checks, so close her account out and send her the money she rightly earned and honestly deposited.

I went into the bank to make a deposit the gentleman (Luis) was to worried about an whole conversation with other banker and customers to be tentative. I gave him my envelope and he took my stuff out and put the envelope towards me in the window. Then did the deposit said nothing then put my license and receipt on the envelope that was wet. Just bad business at this bank. Do better Bank of America-You have a person standing at the front that 85% of the time doesn't even acknowledge you. when you know better you do better/so start to learn to do better.

My daughter BOA account app. was hacked and these malicious thieves figured out a way to withdraw money from her account. Prior to this issue my daughter had report her ATM card stolen and BOA was in process of sending a new one and closed the old card. They sent an email through the app indicating she needed to call the bank because there was a problem with her direct deposits and that $1,000 had been placed on hold until the problem was fixed. Once my daughter called into the number provided by BOA. The money had been restored to my daughters account without her knowledge a few days later from the call. When she went make a purchase 4 days later from when the money placed in the account she saw her account negative. This is when my daughter found out the money was placed into her account but withdrawn the same day. Also few days prior a withdrawal of $181 was removed as well. My daughter still had not received her debit card and the money was removed from Downtown location and we live an hour away. Also my daughter was in class while transactions happened. Also my reported she was having problems logging onto her online account. BOA is charging my daughter to repay back even though she is the victim. Bad business BOA! We have made a police report because her identity was stolen. No one will help! Instead of looking for the real criminals. Try looking at the ATM camera that withdrew the money from ATM card that my daughter never received. Justice needs to be done!

This bank is horrible. I have business accounts for work and personal accounts. Every time I go in the line is out the door and there is one teller working the front counter and drive through. They need to fix the staffing issue or will be losing my business. I only selected one star because there is no zero option!!!!

I have been trying to close my checking account for the last month, and repeatedly encounter suspiciously long wait times every time I come into a branch to do so. (Like trying to cancel a gym membership, only there isn't the less-annoying option to send a certified letter.) So today I had some time to spare and opted to wait.... I was told it would be 20-35 minutes. Within 2 minutes of taking a seat in the waiting room, I note there are 4 bankers in their respective offices, one person greeting in the lobby, and one teller. And only 2 of these people are actively working, greeter guy getting a pass since he's already said hello to everyone in the lobby. Update: 10 minutes in- Banker #2 comes out of his office, exchanges words with greeter guy, disappears for a minute, reappears with a box of Kleenex. This task was apparently more arduous than us layfolk would assume since he retreats to his office, closes the door, and is not seen from again. Probably taking a nap under his desk. We've all been there buddy- Adulting is tough. Update: 20 min in- I've been joined in the waiting area by 2 new friends. One immediately pulls his cell out, I assume he's been here before and knows he's here for the long haul. Finally, I'm in within 25 minutes and out the door in 30 total.
