This was one of the best auto repair experiences I have ever had. I had called around to find out approximately what my repair would cost. They were extremely accommodating and provided me an estimate even through there were a few unknowns. It's exactly what I needed. The car was repaired ahead of the committed timeline. I was given an update each day the car was in the shop. They knew this was an expensive repair, but they were considerate and accommodating and did their absolute best to mitigate any surprises. They are a fair and honest team. I hope I don't need to worry about another transmission repair, but I wouldn't take my car anywhere else to get the work done.

I had a transmission issue while driving to work. I dropped my truck off and received a call the same day with the diagnosis. They ordered the parts and had it fixed in 2 days. Would highly recommend this shop. Pricing is fair, and they are honest.

I took my 2016 Toyota Tacoma that I bought used with 163,000 miles and transmission issues to a local Toyota dealer who wanted charge me $7000 for a new transmission. I took it to Bell Transmissions and Ed and his mechanics diagnosed issue and and told me that I only needed to top off the transmission fluid and they took care of my truck the same day. Now it's running fine without any issues. Ed and his group is top notch and I would recommend them to all my friends & family.

**** ALERT - Do not trust or use **** Bell picked up my car from another mechanic shop 20 miles away. They inspected it and wAnted to charge me 4600 to fix the transmission. Yikes! Way too expensive as I found another shop who will do it for much less!! And when I asked them to return my car to the shop where they picked it up. They said no!! Come and pick it up if you want it back. Really Bell? That's how u treat your customers? I'm a hard working and a honest person. Bell Transmission is NOT DO NOT HAVE them work on your car. Update Folks. You can see his post is very non caring and non customer driven. It's actually kind of an odd response. And oh by the way, I paid only $625 to get my car fixed. Not his 4600 Please shop your work around.

Limped my 03 Tahoe here, Ed knew exactly what happened based off the symptoms. He quoted to rebuild my transmission and the final price stayed true. Turn around time was a few days and kept me updated daily. Truck runs like a champ again!

We recently had transmission trouble with our work van. Ed and his staff were quickly able to address the problem and get us back on the road. I had an issue with my Nissan transmission and I brought it in. They advised me to go to Nissan first and make sure that it was not under any warrant. I was doubtful but brought it into Nissan and the transmission was under extended warranty.I really appreciate that their honesty saved me over 3k even though they could have said nothing and gotten another sale. These guys are good people.

Thank you Bell! Got my traverse back on the road in one day. Much cheaper than another shop estimate. It was nice that they let you know the process of the repair. And he explained the failure so I understood it. Highly recommend

I visited Bell Transmissions today to get a quote for the replacement of a torque converter. Ed estimated the cost would be $1000+. He asked how many miles were on my 2014 Toyota Camry and I replied "104,000". Ed suggested I visit the Toyota dealer and inquire about a known issue with the torque converter. I took his advice and visited Toyota of Naperville and to my surprise the issue was covered by an extended warranty. My car is being repaired at this moment and I would like to thank Ed for saving me over $1000. Thank you for being an honest business owner. In the future I know where to take my car for any trans issues not covered at the dealership.
