Horrible experience at the home depot in Aurora. I went to buy a bag of salt for my driveway. Payed at the self check out, three employees standing around, who witnessed me paying. The camara on the self check out was recording me. I payed got my recite and they still locked the wheels on my cart. It was ridiculous for a bag of salt. Not a power tool or something more expensive only for a bag of salt. I am Mexican American so racial profiling is what Home Depot is doing. If you are Africa American or Mexican American be careful they may lock your wheels just because of the way you look. Thank you for making it easier to go to Menards or my local ACE hardware store.

Reserved a van to deliver tables/chairs for a baby shower. Got an email 20 minutes before the rental time that my reservation was cancelled (didn't see it until I got to the store since I was already on my way). Had to rent a flatbed and picked up my tables/chairs in the rain with an open bed. Asked the person behind the counter what's the point of a reservation and was told it's more of a first come, first served process.

Completely disrespectful staff, they closed an hour early just for fun and they made up hours. Everyone was confused in the parki g lot while these men yelle “we have a party you have to go!”

Thanks for the scar Home Depot! Went in for a single item. Got sliced open good by a sharp edged display. Staff member on the sales floor saw that I got sliced wide open and was more concerned about the display than my arm. Asked where the band aids were and was pointed in the wrong direction. Had to go to the break room to find help from the only working employee. He walked me to the back office and gave me a few band aids from the first aid cabinet. Went to the front to check out. Of course- No cashiers. Went to pay for my one item and was forced to do someone’s else’s job at self checkout when I am not on their payroll. The self check out machine denied both my cards multiple times for no reason. Cut my losses and walked out of the store without a single item. Unbelievable and miserable experience. Looking forward to getting stitches and tetanus. Thanks.

Wouldn’t honor the online price of a lawn mower. Tried to charge me an extra $100 for the exact same product. Drove to Oswego and got the mower for the advertised price

Dealing with the penske return was like pulling nails. I had to go back and forth to the truck for them to collect information and a singular clean napkin otherwise it would be a 125$ cleaning fee. The staff was rude and had attitude when I was nothing but polite, telling me to go across the street to throw out the napkin instead of the very clearly trash next to their counter. I'm never coming to this location again until this is dealt with.

I would like to thank Serena at store # 1957 for her kindness and help. I was complaining to my husband as we walked around the store and needing help and the only help we got from a guy sitting down with no customers is a finger point, then when I returned with more questions he just remained seated and pointed to another place for me to look, I just feel he should have gotten up and showed me. Once I got to the garden area there was a super helpful employee named Serena who whent above and beyond what was asked. We payed for mulch and was told to pick up outside and just drive up and load into car, well we discovered they did not have our mulch outside so parked and went back in with a cart to load up our bags from inside the store instead and she offered to go get it for us. Super helpful and kind. These kind of employees need to be recognized and compensated.

What has happened to this place? I was there Monday evening and it was so sad to see all the dead, so dry, limp, an dying plants. Looked like they hadn’t been watered in a while. Bought some veg plants got them home and spider mites. Took them back to a different HD. Shame on you for abusing plants like that. Just terrible!
