Don't Ever call HR Block on Lake st. I just got the answering service, it was a lady with a country accent. The reason I say that is because she didn't give her name or badge #, I explained EVERYTHING I been going through (very hard times). All I needed was for someone in the Lake St. office to get my paperwork ready to pick up. Easy enough right?¿? I was even crying while I was explaining why I needed them, it took all of about 45 seconds to tell her, and soon as I was done telling her she actually HUNG THE PHONE UP ON ME... LOL FUNNY RIGHT Not 🤔

For the last 15+ years, I've been getting a second look for my taxes from different H&R locations. I called this place this year, and they gave me an appointment. I came and there was nobody available to see me. They made me wait 30 minutes only to tell me that they couldn't do it. They offered me to leave my documents with them and they'd call me. For that, I said no way.

I'm putting one star because I'm hoping that I recieve a call back today from the manager of this establishment..i went to get my taxes done a month ago,I'm a newly wed and I'm new to filing as married.the woman who was doing my taxes was trying to have me lie to the system for extra money and I refused,told her I'd go elsewhere and if she can please delete my information from her computer, she said she had to have her manger do it because its protocol..she called me week ago and asked if I was still interested, I told her what I said the last time we spoke and please!!!!!!delete me from your system..she called me again this morning with the same story,so I told her that I was on my way and wanted to see a manger and all she did was laugh....very unprofessional. ...

I paid $335 dollars to have my taxes prepared by a "tax expert", only to find out later I owe the IRS $1500 for a Child Tax Credit error. When I met with a representative at HR Block regarding this, they had the nerve to blame me for it, telling me they "only used the information [I] gave them." I could have messed up my own taxes for FREE. Never again.
