Stefani, at Metro 59, is very professional, helpful, and immediately attends to any concerns and needs that the residents may have. Stefani is very caring and hard working, two qualities that are hard to find these days. Stefani is truly an asset to Metro 59 and I can't recommend her enough.

Unprofessional maintenance practices. Almost all my maintenance tickets had issues. In the end, they just keep apologizing. But it gets old after awhile and you can't cash an apology. They will not make allowances when it's the other way around. For example, at renewal your rent will be significantly higher than new comers as they will pay less per month and get about a month off. They will not even honor the same price you paid last year for you let alone the new guy's price. Ok then, same here, no special treatment. You messed up so here is a bad review.

Metro 59 is a wonderful place to live. It’s a clean and and quiet community. Ivan, the Property Manager, is the best! The Office Team is kind and professional. The Maintenance Team is proficient, and friendly.Moving here was the best decision. I’m very grateful.

This is the most wonderful community! It's beautiful, clean and quiet. Ivan and the entire team are unbelievable. Every person in the office is so nice and professional. The maintenance team does a great job. It's rare I have an issue, but when I do, the service is prompt and completed correctly the first time. I cannot say enough about Ivan.... he's vested in the community and is helpful and approchable.

I’ve been a resident of Metro 59 for the past couple years and it’s one of best places to live. Location is amazing and convenient - train to the city is in walkable distance and there are several stores/restaurants nearby; however, the complex is still very quiet as it’s tucked in an area behind the main road.Ivan, the new GM, has been amazing! He is incredibly friendly, approachable, and has made several upgrades to the property like the dog park which has made a huge difference. Ivan and the office / maintenance team are quick to resolve any issue or question. They’ve gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and make sure the property is clean and safe. I’d recommend Metro 59 to anyone!

Absolutely disastrous. Currently living in metro 59 apartments for almost 2 years. Both the elevators are not working and when i try to reach the management, the response i received is horrible. Instead of helping me out the property manager Nicole just keeps denying the fact that the issue even exists. Instead of being apologetic for the inconvenience she asks me to walk up the stairs ...TO THE 5TH FLOOR. I am so not renewing my lease next year. Anybody trying to move in - DO NOT...atleast till she is working with them.

Metro59 is the best complex I’ve ever been at. I moved out in September and I’m so thankful I was able to call this place home while looking for a house.A lot of the negative reviews were from when the former property manager was around (she was horrible - so mean, like the worst person I’ve dealt with in a long time) but the new manager Ivan and the rest of the office staff are SO nice and SO helpful. Additionally the maintenance crew was always super quick and kind as well. I really recommend this place! I lived on the top floor which was great and was so quiet. I think the complex has come a long way and I always felt safe and like it was a clean and nice place to live.

I have moved here a few months back. I have had hands down the worst move in experience. They gave me 1 day to move (basically take it or leave it) I was notified on the same day they started my lease. Process was very unprofessional, and even argued whether I can park the shipping container to unload my stuff (I needed 4 days). Manager didn't even want to show me where I will be moving into. She was hands down the worst property manager I have ever met. A confrontational personality that is better suited as a club bouncer. Not suited for hospitality management. She also somehow lost my move-in check list so be careful. There is more to say here, but that aside other issues with the property are as follows:1- Property is neglected. Cleanliness not to par and hallways damaged and not painted/patched.2- Appliances are low end. Washer needs 1.5 hours to wash and has no agitator. Dryer needs a long time too. Fridge is small (barely enough for one person)3- Kitchen cabinet layout is strange (very small drawers)4- Maintenance will not call you before they enter your home even if you specify in accordance to their process.5- Elevator was down for 3 months. They take a very long time to fix common area amenities.6- All pool table sticks are damaged. Table and ball set quality are also very low.7- Gym is missing many components (pins to lock machine weights) missing weights, missing accessories, bars..etc.8- People in the gym bring their own music speakers and blast it as if they are alone.9- Rent and utility amounts are only displayed for payment the day before rent is owed, and if you miss one day, you pay a penalty. Makes it hard to pay in advance.Pluses:Good supporting front office staff. These girls have a good future in the business.Gas stove.Location next to Route 59.I will be moving out because my move in experience was insulting to me and I only continued because I was in a hotel before moving in here. Look for a different community in my opinion. You can get more for about the same money.

I have lived here since August 2021 and it’s been overall great. The management (The current GM is Ivan) is nice and approachable if you have problems. The repairman are respectful and knowledgeable and will usually respond the same or next day. The location is very convenient considering that the Route 59 Station, which the penultimate outbound stop on BNSF Railway line (which has the best service of any Metra line) is only a 5-10 minute walk away. Many stores are a short walk or drive away. My only (minor) issues with this place are due to other residents and not management itself. Some residents ignore the directional arrows in the garage and the carts to help bring in groceries/other items are almost never returned to the garage in a timely manner. But, like I mention, the management can’t really do much about this, so I don’t hold it against them. However, I would recommend this place to install speed bumps or something similar on the roads here. Residents and other guests drive too fast and ignore the stop signs. There are a lot of families with kids here. I don’t have kids myself, but I worry that there might be an accident in the future, if not addressed. Metro 59, if your reading this, and based off the other reviews, I know you do, please consider addressing this issue before any tragedy occurs.

Once again, I'm sharing my experience regarding the noisy neighbor situation. Nothing has been done about the obscenely loud neighbors who live above me. Obscene noise such as stomping, etc., is still happening. If you're looking for peace and quiet, especially after a long day's work, then you won't get it here at Metro 59, unfortunately. In addition, you'll pay ridiculously high rent (that's well above the market rent in the area. It was WELL over the market price, even before the current economic situation.) So, you're paying ridiculous prices, and getting neighbors who don't care about the amount of noise they make. In addition, they (the neighbors) will deny it and claim that the neighbors ABOVE them is responsible for the noise YOU hear. It's the noisiest place to live, ever! Spend your money at a property that has proper insulation, considerate neighbors, and Owners / Managers, that will solve issues (especially those issues concerning inconsiderate neighbors.)

Just an additional note on the "follow ups" provided by Metro59. Don't bother giving them a call... if Nicole is still at the helm of these locations you won't receive a response within a week if you're lucky. They claim she reached out but the truth of the matter is I had to PHYSICALLY go in weekly to try to get back a response to the noise complaints/property complaints in order to actually receive an iota of feedback. The only time she actively reached out to myself or my wife was when we attempted to go over her head to their corporate office to get a response. Also wanted to outline the "solutions" provided by Metro59 in our situation:Pay a transfer fee to move to a different unit in another building (where we'd also be paying more rent because the market value is higher) and lose your terrace access. So.. pay more to get less and have to move. Ideal with an infant right?Stay in the unit for anywhere between 30-45 days (obligatory notice) and pay 1-2 months rent to break the contract. These are laughable. While they may claim to adhere to the Fair Housing Laws... they completely dismiss the Covenant of Quiet Enjoyment. Our only other option to not be penalized and live in this awful environment was to find someone to relet (mind you, not sublet... relet - they had to go through the same background checks/credit score checks you would for a new lease). This is where Nicole really shined... She made snide comments when we offered up candidates who came to see the units, and upsold one on a bigger unit while we did the legwork. Her comments included referring to our candidates as "fictitious." Really... top notch customer service there VillageGreen. She then went on to say, "My life would be 10x easier if you would just leave right now." Classy. I'm sorry we tried to hold your office to a standard you claim to be at.. but you scoffed and huffed when we tried airing any sort of frustrations out. (I know it's not just a single time offense either - I've spoken with other residents and they've all expressed the same concerns.)

Major ant infestation, when I say major, it is like hundreds and thousands, I wish I could upload video on yelp to let you have a feeling of how many are there, never experienced something like this before (3 apt lived in past three years). We keep our apartment clean, and seal all food, but still, they just keeps coming.Too many crack in the building, it is a great location, but building and utility quality did not match its location and price.

The Management & maintenance was able to fix the issue with the bird nest by putting in cover which resolved the problem. I understood from the management that they were trying to get it resolved with the construction company as it was beyond them and was causing the delay, but eventually decided to fix it themselves. Really pleased after the fix as no issues after that. Kudos to the maintenance team as they had to go over 2 stories on a ladder to fix it. Overall the management team has also significantly improved as well and is responsive.===========================Have been a resident for 2 years. Although the property is great the new management team is clueless on managing the property. Every issue needs follow-up over emails, phone calls, voice mails and even after that there wouldn't be a response or a response that they are new here. Think about it the property manager responding that they are new and hence all the problems. Would they dare give this response when a future resident shows up? The previous team was great and very responsive be it in person or email or phone. In fact they would even call back to get feedback or if they were to do something else then they would inform the plan up ahead. The previous management team even informed of changes in their management up ahead & held various events to interact with residents. Now, there is no plan, no communication and a disaster to get things fixed. The maintenance team is good when they resolve the problem, but unfortunately driven by poor management. The previous property manager would even inspect the maintenance fixes. Its like going from a 7-star team to a 1-star I really hope things improve cause unfortunately I still have a long duration on my recent lease. Will not extend based on recent (bird nest problem over 3 months this spring-summer, dryer not fixed for over 1 month, poor A/c in unit, no updates or communications for ongoing problems, only patch-work, maintenance needs to be reminded of using shoe covers) experiences but will change the review if things improve.
