I have been banking with Numark for over 5 years, back when it was called North Star credit union. I do most of my business at the Aurora or Plainfield location. Sonny, Marina, Emma, Bria, and others are the most professional helpful employees that have helped me grow my business.

Applied for a personal loan through the Numark- Aurora Branch. Terrible customer service. They called around 2 days after I applied and didnt leave a voicemail. I had to google the number to find out who I had a missed call from. When I called back, no one knew anything about calling me. Finally, I got someone on the line who says they were the ones that called me and I should've received an email. Didnt receive that either, and the person stated their apologies they forgot to send. Email communication back and forth was horrible, more than a whole business day just to confirm the additional requirements I needed for my loan. I ended up withdrawing my application, and going with a different credit union who was more up to pace with their process.

This is the worst credit union around. There customer service people is dump AF!! Every time I ask a question she repeated what I said then told me that's the problem!!! Seriously! I know that's why I'm calling. I actually asked the damn question. I can't make this s*** up! I asked this woman " how do I add money to my account electronically?" At first she said, I don't know. Then she put me on hold, came back and said, you need bill pay. Ok, fine...thank you. So I tried to register bill pay and it didn't work. So she said again..I don't know why, puts me on hold. She comes back and say, well the problem is you are not registered with bill pay. I KNOW!! That's the issue. Tell me why it's not working. She said, I have to call back. So 30mins or so she calls back. She said, the problem is you are not registered to bill pay. So now I thought someone was pranking me. Once again I had to go through the entire issue again and her response was, I don't know. Then I asked for a supervisor. Turns out, there's no way to add funds electronically on a new checking account. I have to go into the office and manually deposit money. Very frustrating, I just got this account last week and will be closing it this week.

This credit union in terrible. Set up an account for my daughter to build credit and placed some money there to support the branch. My daughter kept complaining about a fee for this and that. I thought it was because she was in Iowa City. It was not. Today, we closed out her accounts and mine. They were so difficult and of course found more fees! Not a good experience.

Credit Union is so much easier than working with a bank. Been a member with this credit union for 20 years. Paperwork is less than banks which translates to less headaches!

Great experience at NuMark. Blanca took care of everything from A to Z and made the process super easy. Highly recommend that you give them a try over conventional banks for loans and financial needs.
