I recently took my puppy to the grooming salon at PetSmart, and it was an absolutely awful experience. The groomer, Molly, clearly did not know what she was doing. Despite showing her a picture of exactly how I wanted my puppy to look, she completely ignored it and shaved his entire body incorrectly, making him look nothing like the picture.
Even worse, my puppy’s skin was visibly irritated and hurt after the session. This level of carelessness is unacceptable. I trusted PetSmart to provide professional, compassionate service, but this experience was far from that.
I can’t help but wonder why a company as big and reputable as PetSmart is hiring inexperienced and unqualified groomers like Molly, who provide such terrible service. It’s shocking and disappointing to see such a lack of quality control in a company of this size.
I would not recommend this location or this groomer to anyone who values the well-being of their pets. I hope PetSmart takes immediate steps to reassess their hiring standards and provide better training for their grooming staff to prevent incidents like this from happening again.

Store and management function very poorly in terms of customer service and communication regarding exchange policies. I purchased two crates online and realized I needed to downgrade one to a smaller size. I was told to exchange it at the register and before the exchange, we asked two employees if the crates we purchased came with trays as it did not specify in the product details. They told us they did not so I purchased two additional 42inch crate trays. Once I got home and unpackaged the crates, we noticed they both had trays already. I came back to the store 2 days later to return the trays and was told I needed to be given a store credit because it was an exchange and somehow turned the transaction into a store credit. I had my original receipt and form of payment and they said that is just their policy and they weren’t sure why their employees would tell me otherwise. One of the managers said this was the case because they didn’t expect people to return things after the exchange (which is an ignorant remark to make since thats the whole point of why stores have return/exchange policies in the first place. Because people make returns..) I was then told I could use the storecredit to buy a bag of dog food. PetSmart does not carry my dog food brand and I do not shop here regularly, or at all. Extremely disappointed that they didn’t make this clear prior to making the exchange. Had I known this was the case, I would have returned the order all together and then repurchased. To me this seems very confusing and deceiving to customers who expect their original form of payment back. I contacted customer service and they told me this was not the case and are unsure why the store is making things “unreasonably complicated ” for me. I was read the return and exchange policy verbatim and found it online and this is not found in any online policy. Lack of proper training, communication with your customers, and simply acting uninterested in their issues is costing them money they did not intend to spend.

We dropped our pup off at the petsmart in Aurora for 2 short nights while we were on a weekend trip in town. We have stayed at multiple Petsmart PetsHotel locations including the Naperville location in the past and have had great experiences but chose the Aurora location this time around because it was closer to where we were staying. When we dropped her off, they refused to take her Kong, treats or harness/leash (all of which we have dropped off with her at other locations). They convinced us to spend extra money for extended individual play time which includes a photo (which we never received even after asking for the photo to be resent) and a treat. When we picked her up, we were told that she had gone to the bathroom in the morning, but her dog bed smelled like urine, and immediately after picking her up she peed and pooped a significant amount in the parking lot. She clearly had not been taken out for an extended period of time and was sitting in her urine for a while. Needless to say, next time we need to board our dog in this area we will be returning to the Naperville location, even if it’s an extra 10 minute drive.

Cashier who worked there on Sunday June 9th at 11am clearly hates her job. No hello no thank you no nothing. Not a single word. Even when I asked her if she scanned the dog food bag when I wasn't sure if she did, I just got annoyed stare.

I have been shopping here for my rabbit, and over time the options for the smaller animals have becoming more popular thankfully. I love that they have a lot of OXBOW food and toy safe options. it is one of the safer brands that the vet recommends. Sometimes their card board options for cats are funny and safe toys for rabbits as well.

Always a hit or miss. Sometimes they have products sometimes not - sometimes accurately priced, sometimes not , sometimes descent service, you get the idea.

I had my Golden Retriever groomed today by Bethany, and she did a fantastic job! My dog's tail was covered in burs from my backyard and she managed to remove all of them while keeping his tail beautifully full. He smelled wonderful and even had his paws trimmed! I requested a bandana at pick up and was informed that Bethany had left for the day, but the associate who brought my pet out already had the bandana ready! That's amazing communication between the associates and it really made my experience with the salon great. I'll be back with him again soon!
