Banter Jewelry (formerly Piercing Pagoda) at 195 Fox Valley Drive, Aurora IL 60604 is not honoring their warranties.My gold chain I bought there was under a warranty. When the clasp stopped working I went to exchange it (which was supposed to be free with the warranty) on May 30, 2022.They pulled out and showed me the identical chain, but refused to exchange the chains unless I paid $150 because they said "the price of gold had gone" up since I had originally bought it in 2020.I spoke to Customer Service who looked up my account and told me by text that I was entitled to exchange my chain for free I went back to the store the next day (May 31, 2022) but they continued to refuse to do the free exchange, even when I showed them Banter Customer Service texts saying I was entitled to a free exchange. They called the owner and she told me that she didn't care what Customer Service said and whether or not the chain or clasp were broken, I would have to pay the $150 for the exchange because the price of gold went up.Later that pm, after I spoke to Customer Service again, and they contacted the owner and then called me back. I was told that they no longer made my chain (even though they had shown me the identical one at the store) and the new model was now $150 more and they were sorry for the "misunderstanding" when they told me i could exchange it for free.On June 3 I went to the Lombard IL store location, where I had no problem exchanging the necklace for free, and getting a new warranty. I filed complaints with the office of the Illinois attorney general and the Better Business Bureau.I had to pay tolls and gas expenses to drive to the store in Lombard, as well as the gas for the two trips to the store at the Fox Valleys Mall in Aurora.As of July 22, 2022 Banter has given no response to my complaint to the BBB, nor made any attempts to reach me, although they know my telephone number and email address.Banter at Fox Valley is not honoring the Banter warranties.

Great experience working with Eliza. I was hesitant with all of the negative reviews, but my sister-in-law recommended them. The staff was friendly and accepted walk-ins for piercings. They pierced my child’s ears, provided cleaning instructions and let me see where the ears were marked before piercing. Would recommend to anyone else looking to get their child’s ears pierced.

I bought a nose ring for my septum, and it was the wrong king so I went back to return it and no one was there, I waited 20 min then left. Today I went back, again, no one was there, waited an hour! I shopped and kept coming back but no one ever showed up. What am I supposed to do with my jewelry now? Ridiculous. Don’t buy from here or go here

GREAT experience!Harry gave us so much time and patience as he walked us through the double ear piercing for our 14 year old I was a little worried about the other reviews, but I can honestly say I was blown away by the professionalism and time Harry gave us.

I took my child to get their ears pierced on a Sunday. Noticed both employees were with customers upon arrival. We waited patiently. Finally, one employee became free and you’d think they’d acknowledge our presence by saying “hello”, or maybe “I’ll be with you in a moment”, or something! But no. Instead we were completely ignored. I had to say “excuse me” to get his attention. I asked about getting ear piercing done and was told weekends are by appointments only. Was told they couldn’t do it because they were completely booked for the day. We remained in the mall area and went elsewhere for what we needed. Each and every time I walked by, both employees were just standing around with ZERO customers. So much for being “booked”. Horrible customer service.

I brought my daughter on her birthday to have ears pierced. There was only one lady and we waited almost an hour. We picked a pair which cost $54. The sales lady gave us a check of $80, which included the earrings, piercing, cleaning solution and a check up appointment. She said that at the check up appointment they would give my daughter a brand new pair of the same earrings and make sure the piercing was healing well. She didn’t even ask me if I wanted the cleanser or check up appointment and next thing I knew she’d charged me the $80. Well, my husband and daughter went there today for the check up as it has been six weeks since her birthday. There was a man there and when my daughter asked for the promised new pair of earrings he stated that it was just a warranty for one year. My daughter was extremely disappointed. I think the lady is deceiving us. First of all, she is selling us a unnecessary warranty without even asking us. Secondly, she falsely stated that this warranty includes a new pair of earrings at check up. My daughter was so excited for several weeks and came home so disappointed.
