My first experience. Very shabby signage in window..made me rethink entering. Once I arrived,,Kate-owner- was standing alone, empty shop , I greeted her..should have been the other way around. Once she started on my nails..just a simple no chip French manicure, she CONSTANTLY talked and talked and talked about herself her daughters, and ALL the numerous nail locations she worked at in barrington...I began to think why she never lasted very long at any location.????? Anyhow I had to interrupt her yapping away to point out my cuticles needed trimming and she argued I don't have any cuticles..absolutely insane was my reaction! And when I pointed out I DO have cuticles. She argued this..finally I said ' plz stop argueing with me, I'm the customer! ' she did a horrible job on my nails and when I paid I asked for a receipt and she replied she DOESNT give receipts!!!!! Omg, where's Uncle Sam when we need him? IRS beware!!!!! I then insisted I receive a receipt for my payment, and she finally took my email . After several attempts,it arrived in my email. However, from some unknown company name was showing the account received my payment!
Beware, this woman is not on the up and up and lacks trust..she's too busy yapping about herself!!!

I had my nails done by Christie and she did a great job. I had a nail tear below the cuticle and went back to Kates to see what could be done. Kate is the BEST!! Been going to her for over a year now and won't go anywhere else. My nails and hands have never looked better, she Always has new cool colors and trendy ideas! But most of all she genuinely cares about her clients and always makes you feel special. Thanks Kate!

Kate is meticulous and does an exquisite job every time! She doesn't even judge me when my nails are short and broken after all the abuse that I put them through on a daily basis. She just smiles and goes to work to make them look amazing again. By far the best manicurist I've seen in the Barrington/Palatine/AH area.

Kate did an awesome mani for me using the Gelish Magneto nail polish collection. She helped me pick out a grey/dark brown color called drawn together, which turned out great! Wish I took a picture to post : /
