This is part of the multi-site church called The Orchard with campuses in Arlington Heights, Vernon Hills, Northfield, Marengo, and Itasca. It is a solid bible-loving church that has been led by senior pastor Colin Smith since 1996, who has a radio ministry called Open the Bible (openthebible.org). Each location has a campus pastor and Barrington is led by Pastor Tom Olson, who regularly teaches and preaches. About 10 years ago this was a children's museum that was turned into a church. And it is located on Grove Street next to Safety Town. I attend the Arlington Heights campus, and I go occasionally to Barrington during the summer months to the Saturday night service. Very welcoming and I really appreciate the excellent bible teaching!

This has been my home church for ten years now and it's a wonderful place to call my spiritual home. The youth and children's ministries are wonderful. I'm so happy my kids went through the middle school and high school years at this campus. This is a Bible believing church group that is lead by Colin Smith, whose "Life Keys" books and teachings are used around the globe for outreach. He is heard daily on Moody radio. Each church campus has its own pastoral staff, so although the congregation is large between campuses every church has its own leadership and you can get to know people. Come join us. We would love to meet you!

Very blessed to have found this church. The Sr. Pastor is very humble and preaches the word with great insight that only would come from a close relationship to God and being a man of prayer. A church with a few campuses but none are extremely large so you get to know people easily. Loving friendly staff and caring community of believers. Love visitors. The building is not right on a main street so map it to make sure you get here.

Stay away if you're looking for a church that welcomes the minority (who would have thought that a local pastor in charge of ushering people in could be so dismissive?), this one certainly missed the beautiful message on diversity. I wish I didn't feel discriminated against, but I did... I hope someone will take notice of the unwelcoming welcome committee and address the issue at the Barrington location. I was really hoping to make it my home church because of Pastor Colin Smith.

The Orchard Network is an incredible organization dedicated to developing the life, doctrine, and skills of next generation Gospel leaders. Its pastoral training programs help put young pastors and church planters on the right track for a lifetime of faithful ministry.

This is church where the Gospel is proclaimed every week and people care for one another in a space that was once a museum. The venue is beautiful, but what makes this church so special is that the faithful preaching of God's word has fostered a culture of missional thinking to make disciples of all nations. The pastors have a wonderful ability to take people through the Bible and see what it is really saying in a relevant way. They bring examples that touch the heart, illustrations that opens minds, and tells what the text is saying plainly so that hearers don't walk away feeling like the Bible is this impossible code to decipher. There is a great children's, youth, and college and career ministry that meets regularly and a Saturday night service for those who prefer it. Oh, and the senior pastor has a sweet Scottish accent. Come check it out! www.theorchardefc.org
