The customer service and ease of doing banking business is the best in Central Illinois by far!! I also bank at CEFCU & PNC. I will likely be consolidating my accounts here.

So after several years of stopping in the branch on Alta and Knoxville to have the lease for my daughter's college apartment notarized, today, I get the third degree by the staff at the bank asking if I have an account. I explained that while I don't, my wife does. Not good enough they told me today! I even offered to pay, but they still would not offer the notary services to me. I expect this type of treatment from PNC, but not from a supposedly local bank. Unacceptable. I'm not even going to have my wife go in with me. I'm done with you all! Consider changing your name to "We need to do much Better Banks!" I wish I could give you all less than one star!

We love this bank! We always go out the the bank on North Knoxville. There is an employee there by the name of Chris C. He always goes above and beyond to help us. He's great, as well as the other employees. We left Hometown Banks after the State Bank Of Speer merged with Hometown /Morton Community banks. We had nothing but issues after the merger. I had been a customer of the Speer Bank for almost 20 years. We decided to switch banks and chose Better Banks. So glad we did!!!

I banked with Better Banks for years, back when they were just Dunlap Bank. Back then they were great. Not the case anymore. Deposits take days before they are 'in' your account, I've had a few deposits that were 'lost' for awhile. The latest being our house payment. It was made several days before the due date, but weeks later we recieved a late payment notice. It 'accidentally' went somewhere other than our account. We work hard to pay our bills on time and keep our credit score up, now thanks to their mistake we have a ding on our credit report. Too many mistakes for an important business to be making. We will be refinancing and taking our business elsewhere.

Went today to make a deposit in drive through. It was very slow I was the only one in the drive through. If there were problems of why things were being processed slow or any reasons for being slow it should have been brought to my attention. Instead I had to go inside and talk to the branch manager and all she could do is come up with excuses. And didnt know how to fix it. Need better customer service. And should let or talk to the people that work under her that things need to be explained to there customers that things may take longer then usual. So that customers don't get up set and have to ask what's taking so long.

Received a phone call from Jeff L. letting us know that he needed a copy of our Certificate of Ins. on a couple of trucks we have on loan with them. Apparently if you are calling out to people and requesting info from them you would treat them as if they were a person and not low life scum. If I ever have to speak to this man again it would be to soon. Better Banks might want to consider letting someone else make these phone calls or send him to etiquette classes. NOT IMPRESSED!

So freaking amazing! Just got a home mortgage loan through this bank after famers state bank tried to con us by jacking up the interest on us to 5% from the agreed 3%. Amanda communicated well with us via email and phone and had the appraisal ordered asap. We loved dealing with them so much that I'm closing my accounts at chase and opened a checking and savings account here.
