I wish I had gotten her name because she really made my visit nice. She helped me find the vintage tablecloth I was looking for and I really enjoyed our chat. “What a lovely place! My friends and I were just messing around downtown when we spotted this antique store. As we walked in we were greeted with a beautiful atmosphere and a kind lady who showed us around and walked us to spots that she thought that we would like. We ended up purchasing an M&M toy that was listed for $2. The woman at the front desk showed us that the toy we were purchasing was being sold for over $50 online. In the end we made about 50 bucks and a wholesome interaction. Highly recommend this place.”

“I have been looking for a coin shop that prices and buys fairly for some time…well I found that with Fox Valley Coins…I met with David who was knowledgable, friendly and took the time to even get to know me a bit… All the employees were personable and friendly..I had to drive about 45 minutes to get there and it was well worth the ride… I will never deal with any other coin shop.. “Such a charming antique shop with an incredible selection of vintage and antique jewelry - brooches galore, bracelets, earrings, and unique pieces everywhere. I loved that most items were out in the open for touching and exploring, with fun low-price trays and bins mixed in with tagged treasures. The staff (two wonderful women) were so kind and engaging - we had a fun conversation about the shop. Unfortunately, the ringing-up process was frustrating and felt chaotic. Purchases were split by dealer, but without a clear tally or saved tags, double-checking was nearly impossible (tags got mixed with others from earlier sales). It left me unsure if the final total was accurate - $95 or $115 makes a difference! I wish there was a better system for transparency. I adore the nostalgic, hands-on feel here and the amazing inventory, but the checkout experience might keep me from returning soon. They also put all of my pieces ($111 worth of jewelry) into one organza bag- nothing was protected. Still recommending for anyone who loves digging through real antiques!”

“Denise’s Adornments is a very interesting women’s boutique with a very distinctive aesthetic. Almost all of the clothing is in white, beige, cream, and other pale tones, something I find very unique and authentic to the identity of the store. They have a large collection of cute, very well curated dresses, sweaters, blouses, and jewelry, mostly in prairie and cowboy-inspired styles. The store has a clear Christian and Catholic identity, with God-inspired quotes and products throughout the shop. They also carry Christian journals, devotionals, and hats with faith-inspired messages. The atmosphere is very poetic and beautifully decorated, and they play Christian music, so everything feels thoughtfully connected to the overall concept of the store. Well done! I was initially attracted by the 40% off rack outside the shop. I ended up buying a couple of pieces because I really liked them. My only concern is the quality relative to the prices. While the designs are gorgeous, many of the items I checked were made in China, and some felt a little pricey for the materials. I hope the pieces I bought last well because they are really cute. Overall, this is a charming boutique with a strong identity. The clothing, decoration, music, and faith-inspired products create an atmosphere you don’t find in many stores. The staff were very friendly and charming. It is definitely worth stopping by if you like prairie or western-inspired clothing and appreciate a Christian-oriented shop.”
