About Fermilab
Fermilab is a leading U.S. laboratory dedicated to particle physics and accelerator research, funded by the Department of Energy. It is a place where thousands of scientists from around the world collaborate to explore the frontiers of physics. Visitors can see the accelerator ring and linear from high above, and learn about the science behind smashing particles to test high-energy physics. The grounds are scenic, featuring a herd of bison and opportunities to enjoy nature and wildlife. Tours are highly recommended, often highlighting the Wilson Hall, which provides a panoramic view of the entire facility and sometimes a glimpse of Chicago. While the facility is quite large and impressive, some visitors note it is a bit far from Chicago and mention that the experience is both educational and memorable. Overall, Fermilab offers a unique blend of scientific discovery and scenic beauty, making it a special destination for visitors interested in science and nature.

What a cool experience. Of course is part of my job so I won't be commenting on anything about the facility.
