I recently visited the Sierra Trading Post in Batavia, IL, and overall, I found it to be a decent spot for outdoor clothing and accessories. The selection was pretty average—while they carry well-known brands at discounted prices, the variety can be hit or miss depending on the season. If you're looking for specific gear, it's best to shop early in the season when they receive their shipments.
One key thing to note: If you're shopping for winter gear, make sure to visit in **October** when they receive their **one and only winter shipment** for the year. By the time I went in **February**, most of the winter items were gone, and they were already rolling out **spring gear**. If you wait too long, you'll find very few winter options left.
That being said, the staff at the **Batavia location was very helpful**. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to assist in finding alternatives when stock was low. If you're flexible and shop at the right time, Sierra Trading Post can be a great place to score some deals on outdoor apparel. Just plan accordingly!

My daughter speaks very highly of this store. They have quite a variety of clothing, shoes and other items. We went right after Christmas and found it to be very limited in items, but plan to return. Reasonable prices.

Lazy employees, all other stores will check for an item when you call. However, at this store the woman that answered refused to check for an item. Stated she couldn't.
