I had an excellent experience at the Batavia USPS office while getting my passport. Ronda, the clerk who assisted me, was absolutely fantastic! She was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient throughout the entire process. She took the time to ensure all my documents were in order, answered all my questions with a smile, and made what could have been a stressful experience smooth and hassle-free. Her friendly demeanor and efficiency truly stood out. Thank you, Ronda, for your outstanding service! I highly recommend this USPS location for anyone needing passport services.

Should not be in business, grossly incompetent on all levels. Receiving my sons birthdaycard 3 months late. Chinese new years gifts for my kids , half were sent back to Wisconsin, sender had to use Ups. Our kids wrestling pictures(cost $115) were supposed to be here January 22, the photographer has sent our pictures out twice, and the usps currently does not know where they are at. Went to the post office 3 times, over last couple months, spoke to the postmaster as well as several times , even filed a complaint with their board, and absolutely nothing has been done. Also I'm missing a W2, and having dealing with this for the last 6 months.. It was my son's10th birthday, 2 days ago and we promised him a phone. We told him all week his phone ordered through Amazon would be here Friday, he has been excited all week. Friday was yesterday and said it would be there at 9pm. My son comes home from school all excited, yeah son should be here by 9. Get an email at 6 saying the usps has the phone in Indianapolis and won't be here for another 5 days. We our currently looking at filing a lawsuit or possibly a class action lawsuit against usps, for their gross incompetence.

Let me start with that I am not from the area (live in Downers Grove) and was taking care of family business last Saturday. I dropped in to this location and I was just blown away by the fabulous customer service, in fact the best I have experienced with USPS (Downers Grove is dismal). The role model sales and swrvice behavior demonstrated by Amy, Andrea, and Herve' is exemplary. Of note is that I came in with a prepay Ebay and they not only assisted me in getting my package on the way, but also gave me advice for simplifying the process. Kudos to this trio and also look for me again when I am on your side of town, such a pleasure to work with such a fine team! Thanks for reading...

SLOWWWW And Rude

The passport process was extremely painful. I think as a white couple, we experienced reverse racism. Our 11:45am appointment was 30 minutes late by USPS, and once we got sat, we had to fill out the passport applications several times because the black USPS workers’ directions were very ambiguous and unclear and rude. We were treated as through we were children. I feel as though we would been treated better if we were un-documented illegal immigrants. Please, if you are looking for passports, go to another USPS. It’s sad, as taxpayers, we get treated like this and yet we get to pay their pensions for the next 30-40 years. Typical Government corruption!

We had the best experience getting passport applications for our kids handled here. It turned out the photos we had taken at a pharmacy were not valid. The lady helping us at the post office handled it all very smoothly, took new pictures, and got us on our way. Passports arrived a couple weeks later.

Had the worst experience coming here for a passport appointment, extremely unfriendly staff on a power trip acting like they are above your time despite you having an appointment and then acting like this is some sort of celebrity meet and greet where you are a cockroach and they are the VIP ... not an official appointment to process and obtain govt documentation. Never again coming to batavia (I will drive out of my way to go to any other post office besides batavia) and would encourage others to do the same based on the terrible staff employed here. We arrive early and ask where to go for passport appointment, immediate attitude from female clerk, then we stood around for 20 minutes while the person that ultimately was in charge of our passport appointment took a leisurely stroll around the building. Finally calls us in, and from the get go has an aggressive attitude telling the person filing to take a seat and the rest elsewhere, then immediately problems with documents, problem with the form (which turned out not to be a problem later at the clerk's office), and just rude and angry delivery steeped in entitlement and contempt throughout. Nothing about this interaction was pleasant, it was the worst customer service I have encountered in years, and was more akin to being interrogated in court for a crime than a professional interaction. Long story short, we needed to go back home and get my son's birth certificate because despite the forms instructions you need both the birth certificate and the passport to renew (obviously we didn't know this because the instructions were a bit different), and thats fine its on us to have double checked. But, apparently now we have to all exit the "premesis" (this person's words) and we can't come back until next week because they don't schedule same day appointments. Last I checked, when we scheduled for the middle of a work day, there was plenty of appointments available after ours so I know for a fact they had slots to process the passport that day... it was sheer laziness and entitlement that made it seem like we were bothering them just by being in that building and having them do a task and in fact the general attitude from this individual was how can I make these people go away versus how can I help them, actively looking for a reason to turn us away (including complaining that I had written CHILD for my 4 year old's occupation). Anyways, with how poor the experience was we immediately knew we had no desire to work with this man at any point, so we asked for alternative locations we can go to passport processing - he tells us only post office and basically laughed at us for asking this question. We went to the us govt website and found that the kane county clerk's office also handles passport processing. Night and day experience, we could walk in and still get it done same day mind you (no appointment scheduled days in advance and no acting like it is impossible to get an appointment or that they are too busy doing god knows what when there was nobody else there to get a passport), and the person at the clerk's office was actually kind and friendly and didn't act like we were intruding on her by asking her to do her job. 0/10 for batavia post office. By the way, if someone is wondering, this interaction was with the man with the braids that everyone else seems to be mentioning here.

The black man that works the front desk is the most rudest employee ever. Do yourself a favor and go to the North Aurora location. He only acts rude and annoyed with women. Go figure.

The woman behind the counter told us the paperwork we printed from the usps website doesn't exist and refused to ship our packages. She lied to our face and was mean about it.

Not sure why the staff has to be so rude when I ask a simple question. They forget tax payers like me pay their salary!
