Home Depot is a hit or miss review. Ideally, you expect consistency between stores but that's not always the case. I stopped by this location because the location in Festus only had 1 of the shelving unit I was looking for. I stopped here in Belleville to get another and found a very well stocked shelving isle. Here, I found the 5 shelf version Of the one I was forced to buy in Festus saving me $25. Now I'm frustrated that my local store didn't have this one. In addition, I am very reluctant when stores ask if you've "signed up" for their special programs (ie: military discount), but in this case, she explained it without being pushy and offered to help load my purchase. Overall it was a very nice shopping experience and I was so happy for my savings.

This is one of those reviews that I wish I could rate zero stars. I'm not sure why this store offers drive up pick up. It takes FOREVER for them to bring out your order. After I got the email and text saying my order was ready, I headed to the store. When I got there, I signed in to alert them as to which spot I was in. After about 10 minutes, I resubmitted the request. After another 5, I called. After another 10, I called again. They were full of excuses. My order was for one small item. Over 1/2 hour is totally unacceptable- followed by excuses just added the proverbial salt to the wound. I currently have an injured foot and back and walking is difficult - so jumping out of my car to run in was really not an option. This is the second time in recent weeks that I've gotten such horrible support. Don't waste your time!! I'll be driving further to locate things elsewhere. As a note, I've also experienced the situation where during the order process, they indicate pick up -- only to be notified during confirmation it'll be shipped. This for things I really needed same day. If I could have waited days, I'd have gone with Amazon

Marissa IS AWESOME!! She took a lot of time out of her day to go above and beyond for me help me complete a return I didn't have the receipt for. I will be spending all my money at this location instead of other locations bc of her. It was amazing. She is what every customer service person should strive to be.

I am never using Home Depot again for any home service. We had a small bathroom re-tiled. Paid for it upfront. Waited a month for them to come over. That was understandable. Once they came over they tore up our floor left their materials all over the place and stopped midway saying we can't finish it because of your sink. They never told us we had to have the sink remove before this. So we easily removed the sink ourselves and then called back to have them come install the tile. They said it would have to be another month and a half before they came to finish the job. Their guy couldn't put our toilet back in for a week either... So not only was our bathroom torn up with their materials left all over our front porch and living room... But we were without a toilet for a week. I have heart issues and had to climb up the stairs every time I needed to use the bathroom. It ended up sending me to the ER at one point. When I say they don't work with you, I mean they don't work with you. Every other company I know would go out of their way to make a situation like this right. They never made us a priority and we ended up waiting another month to finally get our tile done. Three months all together. Once the tile was finally completed, they only offered us a 200 credit. This number is laughable. And only after I talked them up from 150. I would give 0 stars if I could.

This visit started out very badly. I was told I couldn't load my own fencing panels bc they were too heavy and I needed to wait for assistance to take them out to my truck. I was assured someone would be out in 10-15 mins. I then proceeded to wait 40 mins before someone actually came out to help. I walked up to the counter and asked again how long and he again assured me any minute. It seems they are running with very limited employees. The saving grace was there was everything I was looking for at this one location and the staff was relatively friendly. Just wish I would have been told how long it was actually going to take to get help that way I could have finished the rest of my shopping. Instead of standing at the fencing section like a dummy for over half a hour. The gentlemen that helped load my trailer were very helpful and made up for the 40 minute wait. Will return.

Helpful staff but most employees were not wearing masks or gloves! Yuck! Illinois has a mask order as of May 1. But even if it didn't, not having employees wear a mask or at least a bandana covering their mouths and noses is just disgusting in this time of COVID-19. It shows a complete lack of caring for their customers and their employees. We help protect each other when we all wear masks. It's common courtesy if nothing else. Bathroom was nice and clean, though.

I ordered a washer and dryer from here. Called and left a message saying it wouldn't change the delivery address to my town and I just typed the store address. Today I call to ask if they would change it to my home address and now are saying they can't deliver to my town which is only 40 min away. So I say well I need to cancel my order... no truck... they tell me I can't because the washer and dryer came from somewhere else and if the vendor takes it back I have to pay a stocking fee. Lol. Mess. What a mess. Smh. Do not order online ever from here unless you live in the same town as the store apparently.

I recently had an issue with my quartz counter tops. Without going into the long story one of the employees Dianne went above and beyond to solve our issue. She took charge and less than 24 hours the situation was taken care of. Home Depot you should be proud of Dianne. She saved a sale and made loyal customers of us. She was courteous, professional and empathic to our situation. I can't speak highly enough of her. Thanks Dianne.

I have always had good service and helpful people in the Belleville Home Depot. The only time I wasn't wowed was one of the many times I was buying paint and the person at the paint counter seemed a little odd. I have shopped there since the day they opened and have always had good service here.
