Other than i found them through a fantastic friend, too late, the doctors are kind and caring. One of my dogs will die early, from cancer, because 4 years ago, i was ignored by a vet at Noah's Ark ( I was reminded that i am not a vet). Animal ER did an emergency surgery . But had that same vet just biopsied the tumor 4 years ago, instead of yelling at me for letting her get "fat" .. (it wasn't fat. It was the tumor).Thank God for Dr. Probst and Dr. Jokerz... i have confidence from a veterinarian that i have not felt, ever! They treat my dogs like i would, and i respect that.Thank you. I wish that we could heal cancer.Posting photos in memory of Savannah Grace. 2012 - 2024?????

Excellent! Our older dogs mouth was in bad shape. They pulled quite a few teeth and cleaned the rest. She was back better than ever in a few days. Now she gobbles her food down.

I took my dog Bentley there to get neutered and the staff kept me informed by texts throughout making me less worried. They also cleaned his teeth, cut his nails and groomed him. They treated him with love the entire time. I used this vet as my normal vet couldn’t get him in for awhile and I’m pretty sure after the way my Bentley was treated I’m changing vets even though it is a bit further that this will be my new vet! I can’t give this place enough praise!! I’ll be transferring all my pets here!

We brought our dog in for one reason - she was sick and showing signs of pyometra, and we asked Dr Probst to check her for it. They were the only place able to get us in quickly, and the price wasn't terrible. Now I know why:They did some blood work but did not perform an ultrasound or abdominal check up, and did not do anything to actually assess pyometra. They sent her home with sedatives and GI medications instead. She started having seizures and vomiting, and was too sedated. We took her back in and they gave her an anti-emetic shot and sent us home again. Still no care about the pyometra we came to assess.By the end of the week she could not keep food down, was seizing and choking on her vomit, could barely breathe and was next to dead.We took her to the emergency clinic instead, and they immediately recognized the pyometra. She had to have emergency surgery and was there for nearly a week, with a long recovery. She had a mild pyometra we wanted checked out and instead she was drugged and shrugged off until nearly dead. Numerous calls, messages, and questions to the Belvidere clinic were ignored by the doctor, including my final complain about this issue. This is the problem with doctors who feel they've been doing it long enough to ignore patient concerns because "they know best." He looked at some blood results and thought that was enough, without checking for pyometra at all. Thankfully she is still with us, no thanks to him.The rest of the staff was helpful and understanding, even when it came time to complain. I can't say anything negative about the staff overall, but even they had trouble getting answers from the doctor when we had questions. What good is a great staff if the chief vet doesn't have it together?

Kind and caring emergency care for my public shelter dog from another county who came to me with recent neutering, kennel cough and pneumonia. Now he’s eating and playing and jumping up onto his favorite spot. It’s ok, he’s a Yorkie. Thanks Dr. Probst!

I made appointments for my dogs. I arrived but silly me, I got the wrong date. They still took me that day. They were busy too. I also have a dog that is very aggressive and they made me feel at ease in an already stressful situation. The vet even gave personal advice for behavior for my dog. Everyone was very pleasant. And, this place is very affordable. I do recommend coming here. Also, I love that I can text appointments or reach out by text for questions.

Great for dogs. They traumatized my cat after he got fixed. A man hurt him or something bc my cat won't go near men. And will now hiss and bite only men. My other daughter bite the vet. And she has had a mouth infection for 2 months now and still has it. So the appointment was pointless bc I ran out of meds before she was better. And they tried opening her mouth and bc of all the pain her was in her bite. They said she would have to be muzzled. Like are you kidding me. They seem to not care about any cat that comes in. I've seen them treat dogs. I've even heard a male staff bitching about his job. Like really don't take them here. I have an appointment and I'm cancelling it and finding another. Perryville seems to be the next best one. Said to be very compassionate well see.

I took my two dogs here for spayed and neutering. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The procedures were done on time, and everything went as expected. The dogs recovered quickly. Communication from the veterinarian office was great. They sent texts to confirm drop off and pick up times. I will be back for any future vet visits our pets need. I called several vets around the area, Belvedere family pet hospital had the most affordable pricing on common procedures like spayed and neutering.
