After going to U-Haul and not being able to acquire a truck despite having reserved it a week in advance. My budget experience was refreshing, and the customer service was outstanding. It was a breeze picking up and dropping off the truck! Budget is something I would recommend to anybody!

After waiting for 3.5 hours at U-Haul even though I had reserved a truck a week in advance, I was unable to get a truck. My experience with Budget was pleasantly unexpected, and the customer service was outstanding. The process of picking up and returning the truck was simple. Would advise.

Rude people. Not willing to help their customers. Everything you ask them . They don’t know how to do. Doesn’t deserve the one star even. If they keep it this way they will file bankruptcy soon . The employees at G and M office in berwyn are disrespectful

This place is very unprofessional. I reserved a truck for September 14,2021 I have a confirmation number and when I arrived for pick up I was informed that it was given away because they were under the impression that I was picking the truck up on the 13th of September. I showed my reservation and confirmation number and was informed due to calling to confirm the vehicle was actually there that it was assumed I wanted to pick it up a day early; although I never stated this. No one tried to assist me with trying to secure another vehicle. just an oh well and good bye

I made reservations for a truck on Aug 28th by phone. Not once was I informed that Budget Truck reservation are not "real" reservations and that it depends on the availability of trucks. Seems rather pointless to make reservations that are not guaranteed. In any case, true to form 2 days before I was to pick the vehicles, I was informed by the Budget Truck store where I had made reservations, Oak Park, phone # 708-788-4725 that they would not have a vehicle for and to contact corporate, which I did. This where the nightmare scenario worsens. When the inventory manager called me to inform me that there was no vehicle available for the next several days within a 50-mile radius, and that my option was to go with a competitor leave the so-called "reservation" pending, for what?, or cancel the reservation. At this point I had a complete meltdown, as I had never in all my years of renting vehicles have I experienced anything like this. He went ahead and canceled the reservation and hung up on me! I called customer service spoke with Sylvia and supervisor Lisa. Sylvia started giving me the song and dance about Terms and Conditions, which are all in favor of the company at the completely disadvantages the customer, politely told her I had been informed by the rude inventory manager and would like to speak to her supervisor or the email of the CEO. Sylvia forwarded me to Lisa, who after a brief discussion promised to makeup the difference between a competitors price and what I had been billed. She promised to send an email confirming this in writing within 5 minutes. As expected, after all I had experienced, the email never came. With such customer service, it quite baffles me how Budget has remained in business. They claim their trucks are being impacted by COVID-19?! Hence the shortage, really!

I reserved a truck and was running 1.5 hours late. Jim called and was extremely rude and said that he has to leave early and they won't wait. Their hours are to 11am he wants to leave at 9:30 am. Very rude and disrespectful!

If I can give them zero stars I would. they charged me for 4 gallons of gas saying I didn't put gas back on full. when clearly I did, my mistake was not taking pictures and leaving without going over final charges because I was in a rush, I would never do business with them again. #RipOff

This is applicable to both the location and the company itself. In 1889, the US had its first land rush in Oklahoma. If you are unfamiliar with this concept, it is where some 50,000 people lined up with a chance to claim a small plot of land within the 2 million acres available. You would think some 120 years later, and with the invention of the internet, we would not need to stand outside a truck rental shop fighting off the homeless and other families desperate to move out of the city, to secure a truck. All of us in line are praying to God, Buddha or Zorp, Lord of the Sun, hoping this budget rental place will not require us to leave a child, sell a kidney or cash in our permanent life insurance policies to afford to rent half a truck (aaach-uhaul-ooo!). In observance of 21st century rituals, I decided to reserve a truck several days ahead believing this would be honored. (an olde timey reel rolls of Neville Chamberlin waiving around the signed appeasement document) *ominous drums roll in the background* On moving day, I show up, still wet behind the ears from my communal bath, reservation in hand and a pocket full of naivety. After a 20 minute wait, I stepped up to the counter to be informed that my truck was rented by the Philistine who had shown up 15 minutes before the garage even opened. Clearly, my mistake. Fortunately, there was a 10' truck with an 8' interior, that "was similar to the 12' bed." *strained breathing* So many comments... so little time! To be clear, we reserved a 12' gas truck one way with the intention of dropping it off in the city to which we were moving. Needless to say, a van would not fit our entire life. Lady Luck strikes again and we were able to settle on a larger diesel truck that we would be required to drive back up to Chicago the day after moving, from the place we were planning to remain residents. *further strained breathing* I signed the contract and on my way threw a few quarters into a birdbath in the name of Zorp for safe travel. We packed everything in the 16' and moved our caravan out. Fast forward 4 hours, we arrived and unpacked the truck and finally rolled our mats beneath the stars around 11:30pm. Rising early, we jump back into the truck the following day to ensure it was returned to its corral for the people using it the following week. Act 3: I-rent-ial Dysfunction: commonly occurs in businesses 45-65 years old. And so, our epic reaches a climax in communicating with the rental company and the corporate office. If you get anything from this review, besides a hernia from laughing, it should be that there is a clear disconnect from the corporate office and the satellite locations renting trucks. First, we spent 10 minutes trying to find our reservation, despite the fact they had taken a deposit from our account. Second, after finding our order, we were nickel and dimed on mileage despite the fact it being their mistake which forced us to DRIVE BACK UP. In the words of Gordon Ramsay, "It is as dysfunctional as chewing gum with a mouth full of nuts." Lastly, if sass powered batteries, the woman helping us would be able to provide electricity to the continent of Australia for the next decade. As always, we end on a positive. We were given a small refund for our gas. It's like when you find a silver dollar in a pile of animal droppings, it still counts as money.

Booked a truck for moving, got a confirmation of the truck/pickup location/drop off location. Got a call 2 days before I was planning to move letting me know that they do not have a truck available at any location near me. They confirmed a reservation for me and then backed out. I called and nobody cared or offered any solution. Now I am scrambling to find a moving truck 2 days before I move. Terrible service.
