About Town & Country Lakes
Town & Country Lakes is a quiet and peaceful campground surrounded by nature, known for its friendly and nice people running the place. It is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a relaxing space for all ages to enjoy. The property features a lake where fishing is free with a stay, and efforts are ongoing to restore the lake to its glory days, including re-rocking the road and clearing trees. Carp tournaments have been restarted here. The campground is reasonably priced and usually full, making guests consider themselves lucky to get a spot. It is quaint with about 20 wonderful and spacious spots, providing plenty of room for parking and plenty of privacy from the lake and corn fields. While there are no sewer hookups, a weekly dumping service is offered for a fee. The owners are responsive and helpful, assisting with parking and unhitching campers if needed, and they thoroughly keep the riff raff and loud people away to preserve the quiet atmosphere. Amenities include a small playground visible from nearly anywhere on the lake, standard porta potty restrooms on both sides, and a few picnic tables. The place is extremely dog-friendly for quiet and well-behaved dogs, provided owners pick up after them. Dogs may swim at their own risk outside of tournament hours. Future goals include stocking the lake for the first time in decades and dredging to reinforce the banks, with donations accepted for these improvements. Guests consistently report they would definitely return in a heart beat, calling it the best campground they have been to, whether for a weekend getaway or a long-term stay of several months.

Best Campground around and friendly owner and host. Perfect for family’s and pets. Lots of fish to catch in the beautiful lake. I love to be at that campground bc I feel 100% safe due to everyone being background check for the safety of everyone. Lots of beautiful wildlife. I will 1000% be back.

Nice people running the place. Very quiet and friendly neighbors. Pond was free to fish in with the stay and the kids loved it. No sewer hookups but for $20 a week someone will come drain it for you. Would definitely return. We stayed for over a month.

It was one of the most peaceful months I can remember. Surrounded by nature, clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Consider yourself lucky to get a spot to park there because it's usually full and for good reasons. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
