I rused her back to Banfield in Hoffman Estates, went inside crying and begging them and they said we cannot help her got to emergency. I took her to emergency they gave her shot of steroid, she was bit better but next day she started vomiting, peeing blood ,stop eating and drinking water. Monday morning i called again Hoffman estates and they said take her somewhere else we are busy ? I then called Bloomimgdale and they saod bring her in right away. They did iv all day, tests medication and brought her back from the other side of the rainbow i swear! I never write reviews, but I will for this. We brought our 3 month old new puppy in because he was coughing and having trouble breathing. Dr. Golz at this location saw him. She told us that she can not “feel” any upper congestion when placing her hands on his chest and that what he has is a tummy bug. She failed to do an X-ray but said negative to pneumonia. The next day we got a second opinion at our Banfield in Chicago and they diagnosed him with pneumonia (which can be fatal in puppies).Fast forward, he is now needs a breathing machine and has to be kept in the emergency hospital for a couple days. I am very disappointed in this location and the lack of education when it comes to something as severe as pneumonia.

Don’t get any wellness plans! Go to a real veterinarian location so your pet can get serious treatment all at one location. They will ask you to go somewhere else after you’ve paid them because they don’t have the ability to provide you with real veterinarian care, as for the plan then you’ll need to deal with the hassle of them not having the ability to cancel your plan subscription after they themselves offered it to you. Horrible experience!

Please I beg you all to not bring your pets here. We brought our previous dog for 12 years and they misdiagnosed him for his entire life which led him to his passing. We now have a new dog and would NEVER think about bringing him here. These people are so uneducated about dogs and it is so sad. So please no one bring your pets to this hospital.

I absolutely love the staff there, they are knowledgeable and so helpful! My puppy do not seem scared when he is there and they do a great job communicating next steps and what’s to come for the next visit. I would recommend this location as it’s convenient and a one stop shop with it being in Petsmart!

Save your time and money and call Ad park pet clinicMy dog is visually a mess. Totally lethargic, pooping liquid and vomitting non stop. Blood in urine and feces. They charged us 600 dollars just to say we dont know whats wrong you can try taking this. Now home the dog is literally leaking puddles of blood. Like huge puddles and they said "oh thats normal"Called ad park clinic and were told that is absolutely not normal what a moron. They are half the price. An emergency visit cost me only 40 dollars.

Don't take your pets here, they are uneducated and nearly killed my dog if I hadn't gone elsewhere to get a second opinion. If I continued under Banfields care he would have had a seizure and died from an overdose of the medication Banfield prescribed, over the course of 8 months. Our new vet (Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital) realized why my dog wasn't getting better after seeing him for 5 mins, just wrong medication. Best part of this different clinic? Didn't have to leave him in a crate for 4 hours alone. Waited in the waiting room for maybe 5 mins, got checked by a vet tech, 5 more mins and we saw the actual vet. He lived for another 6 years, would've lived longer if I changed vets sooner. Also, inside of a "heath care" plan is that Banfield offers. The new vet, and many others, have the option of getting a care card. Which is basically a credit card that every $200 you spend at the vet you have 12 months to pay, even 5 years from now I still have this option on the card for all my pets. And I'm paying for the actual care instead of paying $80/month for the possibility the service will get covered.

Wouldn't recommend this place to for any type pet. Not sure what happened because I have been with Banfield for years and never had an issue. But for the last 3 years all they are good for is taking your money. It is almost impossible to make an appointment when you actually need to bring you pet in. Three times it happened to where to me it was an emergency situation but , let be real how would I know? I am not a vet right? I called Banfield asking if they can see my pet In right away because I think something is wrong. Their response was they were booked and the next available was in three days and If you think it's an emergency take her to the ER. It cost me 480.00 for them to tell me she had a tummy ache. When my dog past away, I had 6 months left on my plan and they said I still had to pay for the remainder of the year. Worst service ever, wouldn't take a stuffed animal there.

I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience with this specific Banfield Pet Hospital. Jennifer, one of the managers attending to us, provided shockingly rude customer service after calling the hospital with questions, comments and concerns we had regarding our recent visit with our puppy. She seemed disinterested, argued constantly with us and was outright disrespectful during the phone call, making the whole experience extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, services were charged without proper details shared about the costs or obtaining proper consent. This lack of transparency left us feeling blindsided and really taken advantage of. Already paying $70.00 a month then having an extra bill of $500+ for ONE exam just seems really unethical. As pet owners, we trust veterinary professionals to be honest and forthcoming about the expenses involved in our pets' care. I expected a certain level of professionalism and compassion from a pet hospital, but unfortunately, our encounter with Jennifer fell far short of those expectations. Her behavior not only left a negative impression of Banfield Pet Hospital but also made me question the integrity of their staff.

Great people here that love pets. Took them time to let our dog gain trust. She’s a little nervous with humans. No complications after surgery. Spay and a tooth removal. Thanks.

I’ve had negative experiences at this clinic, but since it’s been about three years, I decided to give them another chance since they are 5 minutes away from my home. I currently have the Wellness Optimum plan for my dog. They called to set up a comprehensive appointment but only gave me the option for drop-off. This vet clinic does not offer any other option than drop off even after you explain that your pet doesn’t do well in a crate, especially when they want to crate your dog for 4 hours!! I went to the Banfield in Hoffman Estates, and everything was great in and out in 30 minutes. I recommend just making the 30-minute drive to the next nearest Banfield or any other vet clinic. Stay away from this location.

**************ATTENTION*****************PLEASE READ DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE I had to put my dog down because of Banfield. A couple months ago my dogs eye starting dragging. I took him in right away and they sent me to an eye specialist costing me $1500. Eye specialist said nothing was wrong with his eye. Banfield prescribed eye drops and said it must be an infection even tho they swabbed his eye and nothing came back wrong. Right away I went for a 2nd opinion from a different vet and as soon as the vet saw him she said he has a tumor that is very aggressive and estimated he would only live for 3 more months. My dog passed away a month later. Banfield is all about $ over care. THESE VETS ARE HIGHLY UNEDUCATED!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE YOUR PET ELSEWHERE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

Dr. Zalar is the best!!! She really took the time to go over my dogs diet and the things that I can do to ensure a happy, healthy dog. She’s the best veterinarian I’ve ever seen before. Highly recommended to anyone!!

I had a horrible experience at 162 South Gary Avenue Bloomingdale, IL hospital. I took my cat, Sofi, to be spayed on February 28th, and the staff informed me that they would let me know when to pick her up. However, a few hours later, I received a call from the veterinarian who informed me that my cat was pregnant with 6-8 kittens while under anesthesia on the operating table. They closed her up, and I was instructed to pick her up at 12:30 PM.Prior to the surgery, I brought my cat in for a rabies vaccination and blood work. The staff stated they would inject her with a relaxant to minimize her stress before performing the blood work. When I arrived to pick up my cat on February 28th, they claimed that they couldn't check if she was pregnant before the surgery because she was uncooperative. However, they were supposed to have injected her with a relaxant to perform the blood work as previously stated. Additionally, her pregnancy was clearly visible after they had shaved her belly. I was specifically told not to give any relaxant to my cat before the surgery because they would administer it to her before the blood work. The fact that they did not check her pregnancy before the surgery and proceeded to open her up is concerning. As a result of their negligence, my cat is now in pain, and her kittens are at risk of being lost. To add insult to injury, they charged me an additional $603.04 because my insurance only covers spaying, NOT discovering that she was pregnant by cutting her up.I am writing this review to warn others of the irresponsible and unsympathetic behavior from the veterinarians and staff at this hospital. I urge anyone considering this hospital to read the many negative reviews on their Google page before making a decision. With only 2.7 stars, it is evident that the hospital is facing several issues that need to be addressed immediately.
