I opened a credit card at Best Buy Issued by Citibank. 1. Stay out of Best Buy 2. The Best Buy credit card from Citibank charged me $40 dollars late fee if I didn't pay within 24 hrs of the due date. My landlord gives 5 days grace period. Usury is the name of the game. Avoid Best Buy and Citibank from someone who is never late on any bills.

I'm not talking about this bank in particular. I'm talking about Citi as a whole. I have a couple credit cards with them and they have ROYALLY screwed me over and did nothing to rectify the situation. I will make sure I spread the word about their horrible service.

The worst bank I have experienced since 1960! Not just this location but online support is almost nonexistent. Citibank defined the phrase banker's hours 10am to 1pm on Saturdays! Their loan required me to stay with them for 3 years or I would incur a penalty. So many reasons not to go too Shitibank that I cannot even list them all here! SIMPLY THE WORST BANK EVER!!!

No wonder this location with its employees there got 1 star which means 0 stars I'd give that. 2 days ago I drove there many miles to opened an account and first of all the security woman staying by her car and in most of the time misled me that the bank is closed when it was opened as I was told over the phone before I came there and then she directed me to go behind other cars outside to schedule by the window an appointment where it reads up and on a sign that is for commercial...I wasted about 15 minutes staying there just to be told to go inside and telling that to the security woman she still insisted that is closed ?! I went inside and set for a little while and the banker there asked my ID as I tried to open a new account and after awhile she told me that her computer gives her an error and I have to come back and she took my phone number to call me but she NEVER DID. In reality I believe that she wanted her lunch time - it was about 12: 30 which I could've wait since I drove many miles from another suburb. She didn't give a damn about me and my time wasted. Horrible experience, very unprofessional, misleading, no care for a customer. Wonder why this bank hire people like that. At Citibank in Streamwood 100% great, the manager and banker there were super nice and professional, what a difference !

With time on my hands, I thought I'd share my past experience with this branch. I've visited this branch frequently last summer (2019) and my experience was mostly sub par. I can only speak on the tellers and my experience while waiting inside. From what I remember, it seemed the branch manager will pick and choose who he would greet or say hello and won't greet other customers coming in or waiting in line. My wife and I witness this many time. As for the tellers, two of the three there are ok. I remember one time the middle teller I believe she is polish as I can understand alittle Polish being part polish was helping a customer while the teller to her right was just looking down and wouldn't help me who was next in line. I had to wait for the teller in the middle to finish before being helped. Very strange. The other teller who sits to left of the middle teller, an older lady with glasses, is also efficient and quick as is the middle teller, to process your deposits or withdrawals. 2 stars for the 2 tellers who does a decent job.

One of the worst banks ever!! The whole process of opening up an account is a nightmare. Not to mention the whole verification process for a business account is a complete joke. Get ready for a rant. I deposited one of my checks with the same business name but different mailing address and guess what happened?! My whole account got blocked! WTF?! How does a whole account get restricted with an issue of one check?? I didn't say anything, put my big girl pants on, and fixed the issue. Came to the branch and verified the business address. The next day, I get a call from my banker at the branch, telling me I have to call the customer service number to get the address verified. So I called. Spent 30 minutes verifying myself, and then they tell me that the account already has that address verified! So.... you're telling me, I spent 30 bloody minutes on the phone just to find out that my address was already verified at the branch? Why was I calling then? To waste 30 minutes talking about myself?? I honestly cannot understand this bank! Their verification process is the worst! People have things to do, businesses to run. I have had many bad experiences with this bank already, and it's only been 3 weeks. Worst bank ever!! Sincerely, Furious and frustrated citibank customer. I will be looking to take my money elsewhere.

I opened up savings and checking account 4 months ago in order to get the $300 promotion for opening the accounts. A couple weeks later I set up direct deposit which was also needed. I should have received the $300 over a month ago. So far I have talked to customer service and someone at the branch they were not able to help. I left two messages for CARL the branch manager a couple of days apart. He has not called me back. I guess they do not value me as a customer. So may other banks paying higher interest rates. I will be moving my money once I get my $300.

I give it no stars. If you want this bank to hold your money they will hold it alright. I deposited a certified check and they put a three day hold on that. I just think that's ridiculous for a CERTIFIED CHECK so thanks to Citi bank I was late on paying my mortgage and got hit with a late fee. THANKS CITI BANK for looking out for your customer who's been banking with you for 10 years !

The only reason I am giving this review is because of Gabriel Edwards. This teller will do everything in his power to get your check cashed even if you don't bank with them. I have had 2 experiences before with cashing a check but those experiences where not as positive as this one. This bank takes extra precaution when it comes to cashing checks and withdrawing of money without proper I.D. Just yesterday I was here and all a lady with a polish or russian accent did was call a number and when it said the check number wasn't available she just said monay was not available yet and sent me on my way. No research eventhough i could only arrive 15 min. before close she could have done more. I felt like she didn't want to give it to me!. The company i work for recruits actors and it is a legit company but they changed to this bank and i thought i wouldn't have any problems like before but i was wrong. But thanks to Gabriel's research it had always been clear to cash and all those other pointless things the woman did was all for nothing. Thank you Citibank for hiring such a great employee. Don't know what i would have done without his help.
