Michael's itself is okay, not the best of the chain. However, Shane from framing, is probably one of the rudest and condescending people to encounter. My friend and I stood waiting for appx 15 min while listening to him chat with a male customer. After 8 min or so he finally acknowledged us but then continued his discourse of nonsense and non-business related conversation with the young man. Another couple came to the counter whom he greeted warmly. When he finally started with us he was cold and seemed he would rather work with anyone but us. He also had to point out the frame chosen was "the most expensive one" to which I replied "that's okay". When the project we wanted framed needed a little fixing and we had to leave, Shane seemed relieved. We went on Gary Ave to Hobby Lobby and were treated like humans with kindness. Never going back to this store for framing. Ever!

The entrance and exit to this store is kinda strange. There is just a singular door for each- the entrance and the exit. Not a lot of glass, so it wasn't until I came through the first door that I could confirm that this indeed was the entrance. No room for carts between the 2 entrance doors either, so carts are just Willy Nilly out in the front sidewalk. The store was clean but didn't seem to have very much merchandise on the shelves. I came looking for hot pink yarn and I did find what I was looking for. I wonder if craft stores like Michael's are just not stocking the shelves like they did in pre-pandemic days? Anyway, I noticed a cool patriotic chalk drawing on the sidewalk in front of the store, where the shopping carts were.

Tried to exchange an unopened stock frame, of equal price, I even had the receipt, was told no, it needed to ve exchanged for the exact same frame. Tried to get the return credited to my card, couldn't. They gave me change, $23.94. I tried to give the girl $1.06 so i could have $25 back. Nope. The girl couldn't do tur arithmetic, didn't even try. She counted ninety four cents out. I think someone working a cash register should be able to addition and subtraction.

I actually showed framing depth the actual matting with a 1/4 inch solid black matt framing pic. The matting given to me was black with white edge I called store and employee said it was standard. I said wouldn't it have been nice to tell me this? She started yelling at me that she didn't appreciate this comment. Go to real framing shop where employees will advise you

Love going here for items on projects! Either baking, crafting or floral arrangements they usually have what I need! I like using the app for additional coupons as well. Only thing is the last few times I have been in the isles are very messy and no one is around to help.

I bought an item online to pick up at the store for the first time. No one was at the counter or around the area. So, I see a box full of online purchases separated into bins. Assuming it's self serve because there are no signs to indicate otherwise, I barely look through the bins thinking I can bring it up to the front registers to show them my pick up email. A rude old man with grey scrooge like facial hair who thinks he cool yells, "can I help you?" I was looking for my item I paid for. "That's not how it works!" "Do your have your driver's license!" "Is this your yarn!" No, it's the item in the back. Wow, didn't expect such poor crappy customer service. Never coming here again. Don't work in retail if you can't be a people person. Jerk.

As a person who loves art, crafts, and anything that has to do with putting creativity to use. I personally love shopping at Michaels. The staff here is helpful and usually good at explaining what certain things are for. I love that it is always organized and arranged in an easy way to find supplies. A plus at shopping at a Michaels is that they have frequent coupons and are usually good about helping save money.

I would like to share our first experience with this store's Kids' Club session this morning. I paid $2 per grandchild x 6 and rounded everyone up to participate in the slime session on site. The children range from 3 to 10 years old, four boys and two girls. Several other children joined the group as well. The session was listed to run from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. The session capacity was listed as 12. Two staff members led the session. The children were handed a small amount of already-made slime and invited to add some color and glitter as desired. The children completed their project within 12-18 minutes! Each child left with a small plastic bag with his or her slime. All of us left disappointed and in disbelief at the short, short, short session, the lack of an opportunity to make the slime from scratch, and the lack of a written recipe for making more at home if desired. As a result, I recommend watching some of the many YouTube videos on how to make a variety of slimes, purchasing the ingredients, and making it at home from scratch so that the child might experiment with the methods and the outcomes and figure out what worked well and why. Unfortunately, this session at Michael's this morning was not worth the time nor money, and I do not recommend it.

I'm not much of a Crafter, but I have been in the store a few times. Always have found the staff to be helpful in helping me find what I needed. Lisa, who works in the floral Dept went above and beyond her job! I locked my keys in my car, and entered Michaels crafts in hopes of finding something I could use to pop up the lock. Lisa found an item, came outside and personally tried to help me out! That is what I call going above and beyond!

I came into Michael's to buy a very good amount of supplies, I had been in the paint/spray paint aisle to look for colors that would suit my art project. In the past, I find that what you see is not necessarily what you get. In the spray paint aisle there is a long piece of plastic like material which was already covered in multiple colors of spray paint and not to mention, bottles of spray paint were cracked and already opened. I tested out the spray paint on this material, only to find that the color the bottle said it was, did not actually show up the way i expected. if i had not checked i would have spent money i something that did not work out how i expected. I then, was approached and chastised by an incredibly rude employee who then proceeded to yell at me for spraying the spray paint on the paper provided in the aisle. Moments later I was approached by what seemed to be a manager who just as much talked down to me and reprimanded me rudely. If one is not to use spray paint that is already opened and used on paper provided, then so be it and put up a sign saying so. However, to be talked to the way I was talked to today will not be tolerated. Michael's will never receive my business again.

I love Michael's in general, though my opinion of this store greatly varies each time I visit. They're not as big as other Michael's but I always seem to find what I'm looking for there. The staff is not the most friendliest, I think they can benefit from some customer service lessons. They also drive me nuts with their coupon policy, one cashier will tell me they can only accept one coupon per person per day while another cashier will tell me they can accept one coupon in its category, e.g. one 50% off one item AND one 20% off your entire purchase. I wish they would make up their minds. Overall, I will continue shopping here as it is conveniently located and I like their selection.

I love Michael's!!! Their selection is unlike any other place you will find of its kind but you will pay the premium. I almost always stop in with at least one 40% coupon for one item. On other days, I will live with a drive by of the clearance section or a 15% off coupon for the entire purchase. If you plan to frequent the store, I highly recommend signing up for their text messages, emails or download the app. You will receive weekly ads and coupons to further encourage your visits and purchases.

I am not sure what is worse - the absolutely incompetent help or equally mentally-challenged customers. I have been to this store 4x this year alone and have regretted every visit. How difficult is it to ring up a purchase and bag it: 5 minutes per person? 10 minutes? Really? Service like this is why Walmart, Meijer and the internet can siphon off considerable business. If you can't figure out how to operate a business - close. do everyone a favor. I will not return.

Love this Michael's! The staff is super friendly and courteous. The store is huge, so if you're unfamiliar with your surroundings it may be hard to find what you need. Luckily there is always a staff member there to direct you to your needs. Never buy anything at regular price! They almost always have a 40 or 50% off coupon, and you can download the ap so that you don't have to carry along all the paper coupons.

So it's time for a quick update. This Michael's location has become more cluttered and less friendly over the years. This is not my favorite location. I do like the Michael's iPhone application that always had good coupons to use. I also like the sticker selection (but not the prices). Watch your prices on the register. Things don't always seem to ring up correctly here.
