“Aug’24 Update: I dropped my 14 year old car off with Ed and his team after it failed an IL emissions test and I had just 3 days until my registration expired. They had my car fixed the next day, and when I went to go pick up the vehicle, Ed’s Team had already taken it to the Emissions Test Site and gotten it a Passing rating - this meant I could immediately renew my registration online, and meet the expiration deadline.
I was floored by this level of customer service and dedication - in a world that’s increasingly automated, corporatized, and less-personal by the day - trust Ed and Elmhurst Auto Care to take care of YOU and your Vehicle - thanks guys!

“A Tale of Two Shops – just one example of how great Nofsinger’s has been over the years, as Dave is always quick to consult or scan my cars even when busy, and has always been more than reasonable.
Using technology many independent shops lack, Dave diagnosed my intermittent airbag light as a failing clock spring and then determined that Hyundai had a problem with the part so I might be able to get it repaired free at a dealership. No charge from Dave.
Sure enough, I found a technical service bulletin and an extension of the warranty to 15 years. This should be the end of the story, but you can always count on dealers to make Nofsinger’s look good. I booked a service appointment at a dealership in Villa Park (also reviewed) and insisted that they have the part in stock by the time I came so I wouldn’t have to go twice.
Short version: They didn’t have the part but didn’t tell me until I’d been there 2.5 hours waiting for an oil change I’d added and an open recall (underbody treatment) I’d agreed to only because I thought I was getting it all over with at once.
On top of that, the service writer told me the job would cost $700 when the part came in. Gee, I wonder where dealers get their bad reputations? After I pushed back, he scurried off to a manager and then returned to confirm there would be no charge, but there was never anything close to an apology.
I never went back. I got the part for $27 and installed it myself literally in 20 minutes. If I’d gone back to Nofsinger’s (where they’re always patient with my DIY endeavors), I guarantee it wouldn’t have cost $700. Or $200. They can do way more than you think, and if they can’t, they admit it.”

I brought it down the street to Abby, and Chris briefly paused his current job to roll my car on the rack and fix it, and he didn't charge me for it. Easy fix, I wasn't there even for 15 minutes, but I appreciate the willingness to address it right away. Love the family business level of customer service. Better than dealerships and franchises. Chuck came up with a solution and had new fans installed. Additionally he identified a number of other issues which needed to be repaired. Prior shop did not install these items correctly. Car is now running and riding great. I will definitely use Barnes again for future repair needs.”

Before this, I had my wheel alignment done in Canadian tire. But the tires continued to wear out.. Wasted time and money. After the work of the center I immediately felt the difference. “When my family lived in Lombard from 1978 to 2017, we went to Supreme Transmission whenever our vehicles needed transmission or clutch work. It has been 15+ years since I was last there for service on one of my vehicles but I am so glad I went back there this past week to have work done on my transmission. The staff may have changed since my last visit to Supreme but the the current staff with Jerry are awesome!!! They are very honest and they do not overprice or oversell to you. Any other place would have easily told me I would need a new or rebuilt transmission but Jerry was very upfront with me and honest and told me all I needed was a new axle for the transmission. They did a great job in repairing my vehicle and were very quick in completing the job!!! I highly recommend Supreme Transmission for any work on transmissions or other minor auto services they provide. Thank you Jerry and the rest of the staff!!! You all are the best!!!!”
